Welcome, and from my Zay Umi Daji 1 Pro, and today I want to show you a couple tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:14
So we're going to begin with cleaning up the status bar through system UI tuner
0:20
But first we'll need to enable it, so to do so. What you want to do is hold the settings icon, which is the gear one right here
0:27
you hold it, it appears with this circle around and then if you keep holding it, it actually
0:32
starts spinning. I'm going to try to show it, but it's basically spinning right now really
0:36
quick. And once you let go, for me it just pops up a message to basically remove it, but
0:41
that's not what I want to do. For you, it's just going to give you a little message at the bottom
0:45
that basically it has been enabled, and that's about it. And from there, you want to go into
0:50
system and settings, and you'll find system UI tuner, and then tap on status bar
0:57
And here you have all the things that you can toggle off from the status bar
1:02
So you could basically toggle everything off if you wish to by just checking everything off
1:08
But you can also just toggle the things that you don't want off
1:14
Let's see you can make it completely clear out of everything. But you could just turn off stuff like Wi-Fi, Do Not Disturb Mode and Hotspot
1:21
It's just a common ones that, for instance, you keep constantly on, but you just don't want to see them cluttering
1:27
your status bar. This is just a more drastic way I did it just to showcase that you
1:34
can basically remove everything from here and it makes it look nice and clean honestly at least in the home screen So another thing that I want to show is just the animations that you can change the animation speed And again you would go to settings and then all the way down to system about phone
1:51
And this time we need to enable the developer options. So let's find build number, which is at the bottom
1:57
Tap on that seven times until you get a message you are now a developer
2:02
And from here you can go back and just seen that the developer options kind of appeared here
2:07
on it and scroll down basically here and it looks like by default the device actually sets it to
2:15
half speed so if you want to go a little bit more drastic i would go to basically off but this is just
2:23
i mean drastic it just removes the animations altogether so you don't have any kind of animations
2:28
so it's actually nice that you can that it comes with half speed right here and you can also set it to
2:34
one time as most devices have this by default. So you can just mess around and see which one suits you better
2:44
And the next thing that I want to show is just a simple nightlight. Now, it's not really a dark mode or anything like that
2:50
It just makes the display a little bit more yellow and removes the blue color a bit from the display
2:56
So again, it's under the settings and display. And from here, it's right here, nightlight
3:01
So you can either schedule it and turn on at custom times or I can just enable it by default
3:11
from sunset to sunrise you also have the intensity right here so you can see how intense it is now might not look the best how the display starts just looking a little bit yellow faded almost but when you using the phone at night it does nevelate that feeling
3:33
that your irises are being burned out of your eye sockets. So it's just a little bit more pleasant
3:39
to look at during night. Now there was at one point the speculation that reducing the blue light
3:45
will help you fall better asleep at night. But now, apparently, it didn't really matter
3:52
because light is light and it wakes you up anyway, no matter what color it is
3:57
So, yeah. But I'm just showing it off as a nice way to
4:02
not feel like your eyes are burning out at night when you're being blasted with that blue light
4:07
It's really harsh, in my opinion, and this is just a way for you to nevelate some of that harsh light
4:13
So moving on, we're going to go into the... advanced features and there's just couple things in there but it's in the settings so let's
4:22
find advanced features right here so you have the navigation keys just you can flip it over
4:28
also have the swipe-up gestures navigations if you wish to use that and it's not really
4:37
nothing special here it looks like you have two versions of it so you have the
4:42
basically this one on the bottom with buck and Yeah, so it's the bug button and the recent button is just on the side and
4:52
basically works the same one as the button but instead of tapping on it you swipe on it and then you have this ones which basically you swipe from the middle quickly to close it
5:00
swipe and hold to go to recent and then swipe from either edge to go back neither of those are necessarily the best in my opinion but then it just a personal preference I like to have my back from the side
5:13
Then you can also flip which side has the back button, as you can see. And also you have a couple other things like reverse to mute
5:20
So if someone is calling you, you can just flip the phone over, and it will mute it so you don't hear it
5:25
And then you have this one, the three finger swipe. So just take three fingers like so
5:31
swipe it and it takes a simple screenshot. Just a quick way of taking a screenshot
5:36
instead of pressing the two keys right here. And the last thing that I want to show
5:41
is the showing or well hiding actually a password. So if I go into Wi-Fi and I tap on any kind of protected
5:49
and just anywhere I have to type in a password. Start typing in. You can see that there is a letter visible for about a second
5:55
and it's just a latest letter I have pressed so in a way your entire password will be visible in a line
6:01
for some time. So to get this removed, all you need to do is go into
6:08
security and location, then scroll down and you have show password, disable this
6:15
and now if we go back to Wi-Fi where I can type in a password, you can see that there is no more
6:21
any kind of letter visible for any time. So it just makes it a little bit more secure
6:25
and personally I just prefer to not have my password any letter of it visible
6:29
So, yeah. So this would conclude all that weeks and tricks that around to share
6:35
