Welcome
0:07
And filming is an AISOG phone 3, and today I'll show a couple tweaks and tricks you can do on this phone
0:14
So jumping straight to it, we're going to begin with the way better refresh rate that you can set or enable it
0:22
And you can find it under the display and the settings. As you can see there is refresh rate now. I already have chosen to write
0:30
at 144 Hertz. That is also why you're seeing this little bit of a flickering on the recording
0:37
That's because it just kind of doesn't match with the camera 60 frames
0:43
But basically by default it's going to be at 60 frames and this is just a typical trash
0:49
normal, mediocre refresh rate. Now we can also jump it to 90. This will increase it a little bit
0:56
120 will be significantly better, probably the best out of them all
1:01
And 140 is just more of a novelty that you can run it quicker than basically major of the gaming PCs probably
1:09
So choose whichever one you want. Now obviously with each one of them you will consume a little bit more battery
1:15
but also you'll get a way smoother image when scrolling up and down and just having really fast-paced motion on your display
1:23
Now, unfortunately, this is not going to be visible on the camera. anything past 60 is just kind of lost because the camera is recording at 60
1:31
Anything more than that camera cannot catch it because it is only set to 60
1:35
So here it's just playing twice as more, more than twice as much data on the screen but the
1:41
camera cannot capture it. So for you it will still look the same as 60
1:46
So for you this basically looks the same as this. Maybe it actually does look a little bit different
1:54
You can see it a little bit more jumpy, like you can see just it looks way more or way less
2:02
appealing but overall the smoothness that I can see on the camera it looks kind of like
2:08
it's blurring up and down but for me it is a smooth motion and it is a really good smooth
2:14
motion here. So I'd recommend to change the refresh rate here. Now moving on to the next one it's going to be the dark mode and because this device uses
2:23
an Ammolid display, all the pixels here are self-lit. So, also, anything that is fully black, it actually isn't lit up
2:30
So if you go into the color scheme right here, turn it to dark, basically everything that is black is in color
2:38
is completely turned off. And that will also, apart from all, giving you a dark look to your device
2:45
that includes also majority of apps and settings, stuff like that, will also save you a little bit in battery
2:51
because like I said, pixels here are self-lit. If they don't need to light up, they don't use battery
2:58
Now, the gain from this won't be anything substantial, so it might be additional hour or so max
3:06
Never really tested the difference but don expect massive like leaps in performance honestly So moving on to the next option is going to be the status bar icons
3:18
And beautiful you can see there is already a kind of a crowded mess of icons on the top right here
3:23
So we have refresh rate, Bluetooth, I believe Wi-Fi, lack of SIM card battery and all that stuff
3:30
So we can actually go into these settings and then again under the display
3:34
it looks like all the best options on the display. And from here we want to scroll down to status bar icon manager and voila we have basically
3:44
access to all the notifications that you could have if you choose to enable majority of
3:49
these things. They would normally show up in the status bar but we can literally toggle them off from showing up
3:57
So I'm just kind of going overboard and basically disabling literally everything but you don't
4:06
actually have to do this. You can disable only the things that you might not want, things like
4:09
alarm clock or Wi-Fi, things like that that are used to, you are used to actually knowing
4:15
that they're on, but you don't want them to be visible. Because even though we have disabled them
4:20
here, they are still all fully enabled when you pull down the notification panel. The only
4:25
benefit is they're not showing up on the notification bar anymore. It would be also nice if I could
4:30
get rid of this somehow. Oh, let's see. Can I get rid of this
4:41
Looks like I can't. So I'm going to quickly go through this. Oh, there we go. So now we have a fully clean status bar
4:51
Now this is going a little bit overboard. Maybe battery would be nice to see here. So you could go back to these settings and, for instance, enable only the battery
4:59
so that is going to be the only thing you will see in here
5:04
And there we go. So as you can see, super clean now
5:09
Only one thing is showing. So I really like this. And now adding more to do that clean aesthetic
5:16
we can remove also the buttons at the bottom. They are already a little bit outdated
5:20
and there are way better ways of actually navigating through the device using gesture navigation
5:25
And once more, this option can be found in your display section. So let's open up display, scroll down and system navigation right below
5:35
the icons. And from here we have gesture navigation. And there we go. Once you enable
5:41
you can see that there's a tiny little bar and basically the way it works is you swipe up on it
5:45
to go home, swipe up and hold to go to recent. And then if you are already in and up, you can
5:51
see, you can swipe from sides. You can see there is a little arrow appearing. So that will allow
5:58
you to basically go back. Now also if you've seen it, if you go out of some kind of app
6:05
so if I open up something there's this little thing on the bottom and you can just
6:10
give swipe up on it. There we go to access the Google. For some reason just closed the
6:19
though But yeah that is going to improve in my opinion how you use the device It feels way better especially with the back being from both sides
6:30
So that is super nice. And again, it adds to the clean aesthetic of the device
6:36
Now, moving on to the last option, which I wanted to show, it's going to be the game mode right here
6:40
And what this allows you to do is when you have some kind of games, for instance, right here, oh well, never mind
6:46
Let's just open up something else then. So as you can see it's already launching, it does couple things, optimizes it, right
6:55
Let's just flip it as well. Let's wait for it to actually load up, which is a little bit of a lengthy one
7:08
I believe I can already access it, yep, there we go, so you can swipe from the left side of the
7:13
display and you will see that game controller right here. When you let go, it brings up the panel, right
7:19
So from here you have a bunch of useful information, things like your phone temperature
7:22
the frames that the device is running at right now, your processor clock speed right now
7:27
and also the X mode on or off, which will improve the performance if you really need it
7:33
Now for this, I don't think it's needed. The game is already running at max setting 60 frames and there is nothing higher than that
7:42
so you don't really get anything extra apart from reduced battery life with the X mode
7:49
But let's see, you can set it to auto as well here, so it's now automatically setting the refresh rate
7:56
Now at the beginning when the game loads, it does have a little bit of a, as you can see, this stutters
8:02
but once it actually loads fully, it becomes super butter smooth. Now going back to the panel right here, we have a couple additional things
8:12
A bunch of toggle, as you can see, you can disable, for instance, calls, so when you're gaming people won't be able to call you
8:18
navigation blocking and stuff like that. But where it gets even better is the, for instance, air triggers
8:25
So I already have a couple of sets to suit, for instance, characters. But you could, as an example, set it to be something like a jump and attack
8:32
Let's see both attacks. There we go. So right now, once you set them up, locate them where you want them
8:42
make sure you turn them on and then you can close it. And now let me grab the phone
8:46
So right now, let's see if I change it. So normally you'd have to tap right here to attack, right
8:53
But now we have these triggers. Now they do have more settings, well, in the actual settings
9:00
where you can customize how hard you have to press them for them to actually activate
9:05
Right now I have them set to be fairly light as you can see
9:10
So they are almost touch sensitive, maybe not so much, but but it's really light press. It's I believe substitute 2 right now
9:20
And as you can see the game runs really well. Now it does have some stutters for some
9:28
reason. So apart from that, let me also quickly go into these settings. And let's go
