Welcome! In front of me I have Garmin Forerunner 955 and I'm gonna show you how to measure the blood oxygen levels on this watch
0:13
Before we start, if you want to get the most accurate results of your measurements, make sure to put your watch on your wrist, secure it tightly so it doesn't move around
0:22
and while you're measuring your heart rate or other blood oxygen levels, my bad, try not to move too much. Basically try to stay still
0:30
I'm just gonna put my finger on the sensor right here but because of that my results might be not too accurate
0:37
Now, let's continue with the measurement. First, make sure you're on the home screen, the current watch face
0:45
Once you're on the current watch face, you can press up or down button to open the glance menu and you can scroll through this menu by using the up and down buttons
0:54
Scroll through this menu and look for the pulse ox glance. As you can see, on our watch it's not here. By default, it probably won't be here
1:02
So, if you don't have the pulse ox glance, you can press and hold the up button to open this menu and once you open this menu, you can scroll down, select the option called add glance and then press the start button to enter the add glance menu
1:20
Now, scroll through the list of glances and find the pulse ox glance
1:28
Looks like this. Select it and then press the start button to add it
1:33
And once you add it, as you can see, now in the glances menu we have the pulse ox glance
1:38
We can select it, then press the start button to enter. Now, I'm gonna place my finger on the sensor and to start the measurement, you can simply press the finger or rather, yeah, the watch probably will start measuring it automatically once you open the glance
1:57
So, let's wait. And here we have our result after a couple of seconds
2:15
And once you're done, you can press the back button to go back to the glance menu and to the watch face
2:23
You can also enable and disable the automatic measurement for the pulse oximeter
2:28
So, to do it, press and hold the up button to open the menu
2:33
Now, use the up and down buttons to scroll through the menu. Select the option called wrist heart rate, then press the start button
2:42
And here, scroll down, find the option called pulse oximeter, select it and press the start button
2:50
Right here, we have a couple of options, all day, during sleep and on demand
2:54
On demand is default and basically, you need to open the glance or widget to start the measurement
3:01
During the sleep, we'll measure the pulse or rather, blood oxygen levels automatically when you're sleeping
3:08
And all day, we'll do it for the whole day. Basically, it will measure it each time watch the text that you're resting
3:14
You're not moving too much for a certain period of time. Be aware though, selecting all day or doing the sleep, it will reduce your battery life quite a lot on your watch
3:25
So, be aware of that. And once you select the option, you can press the start button to confirm
3:33
Okay, I'm gonna just put it back to on demand, because I don't want to measure it all day
3:38
But if you want to, you can do it. And then, I'm gonna press the back button to go back to watch face
3:43
And that's how you measure the blood oxygen levels on this watch
3:47
