Welcome! In front of me is a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and today I'll show you how you can enable
0:07
and also set up your portable hotspot. So to get started pull down your notification panel
0:17
extend the list. Just to regard this I just inserted a SIM card. So somewhere here you
0:24
should find the mobile hotspot toggle. For me it's right over here. Once you see it
0:29
the first time around you want to hold it and the reason for this is once you hold it
0:34
it takes you to the settings and here you can see your hotspot password. Now by default it's
0:40
always randomly generated so it's something that you have no way of knowing unless you navigate
0:44
here. But outside of you being able to use the one that is randomly generated, you can select
0:50
configure and you can change it to something that might be easier for you to remember
0:56
Now it will need to have eight characters in length. That can be letters and numbers or one
1:02
of each. It doesn't really matter at which point you can then save it. Now we do have
1:09
we do have a couple additional options right here like the network name. By default it's
1:14
always the name of the device. As you can see Galaxy Z Flip 4 and then we have bands. We have
1:20
2.4 or 5 gigahertz. If you don't know what these do, I do recommend keeping it on 2.4
1:25
for this will ensure that your hotspot will work whenever you want to actually use it
1:32
So you shouldn't have any kind of problems. If you know what this is
1:36
go right ahead and change it to whatever you will need it to be at
1:42
And under advanced we have some additional options. I will just mention one. Obviously
1:49
you can change them to your liking if you know what they do. But one thing that I will mention
1:53
for everybody is the turn off. Turn off when no device connects for and we have a specific
2:01
amount of time. 20. I'm going to change it to 10. Now this is a really good option to have enabled
2:06
You can turn it off but I wouldn't recommend it to do so. The reason for this is once you
2:11
enable your hotspot it will consume more battery in your phone and this device already doesn't have
2:18
the best battery life. So I do recommend keeping this on. This will then turn off
2:25
hotspot automatically when no device is utilizing your hotspot for 10 minutes
2:31
So you won't need to remember about it. Anyway, let's select save and close this. And now whenever
2:37
we want to use our hotspot, just pull down the notifications, click on the toggle
2:43
select okay and you can see it's right now on. So you can connect to your hotspot right now
2:49
And once you're done with it you can turn it off manually if you want to. So you do so by just tapping on it. Or you can wait the 10 minutes and it will turn off
2:59
automatically. So anyway, with that being said, if you found this very helpful
