This is Google Pixel 5A and today I would like to lead you through the process of setting up parental controls for this device
0:11
So to begin with you will need to launch settings, then enter Google category over here
0:16
First step is to make sure that no accounts are currently linked to your system
0:21
If you have some, the way I do, we will need to remove them by tapping over here
0:26
then go into manage accounts on this device option. and add the accounts for owner field, just open each individual Google account you have locked into and remove it one by one
0:37
After this step has been successfully completed, as you can see, there are no accounts currently edit
0:45
Over here, I mean Google accounts in particular, we can start the setup procedure by tap and add the parental controls option
0:54
Get started, child routine. Next. Then add or create account, Google account for your child
1:08
If you have some just sign in to if not sign up for it Then tap at the I agree button once added accept all the Google services and what
1:22
not, onward's a Tuesday account that you have just signed into from the list
1:28
After that we will also need to enter credentials for the parents' Google account or the Google
1:34
account that will be used for supervision or supervising the child's activity
1:40
Do that as well. At the following page, the very bottom of it, to be exact, enter the password to the child's
1:51
account one more time and then tap at the agree button. Then you'll get this little dialog window that asks whether you are ready to allow supervision
2:03
So tap at the allow option. until parent and child Google accounts will be linked
2:13
Click on Next. In here you can start managing the apps already
2:17
You does turn them on or off or if you would like to, I mean, it's not like important step or something
2:23
Because later on you will also be able to do that. So in case you want to finish this setup quicker and sooner just skip the step Do not do anything at this point
2:36
The same applies for filters and content restrictions. From here at the Managed Parental Controls page
2:44
if the device that is written in the bold phone is the one that you are going to use as a parent or supervisor
2:52
you can tap at the blue install family link button and get the needed app
2:56
automatically download it and installed on your parents' phone or if it is not true in
3:01
your case just do that manually so just to make it this video more generic and
3:07
so that it will fit anybody I'll go for the manual way skip the step skip
3:16
so the parental controls were successfully set at the child's end from here
3:23
you will need to take your device as a parent, then download the Family Link application from Play Store
3:39
After that make sure to log into the app with the Google account that you have earlier identified as well the parents one Here I have mine And tap with the continue button And here we have all the available
3:56
controls and features. So in this list, you'll probably have just a single phone. My case I have
4:03
multiple, but just not pay attention to it. Here I have my Pixel 5A. I can set up some data
4:08
limits for the phone to be active in between some certain timeframes, set up the downtime routine
4:16
for the child, also set app limits, change app limits, disable or enable apps, and monitor
4:25
app activity, then apply content restrictions for some Google services and apps, configure
4:32
account settings, manage devices that are in the family, track child's location
4:38
and see the highlights of the child's phone activity. Already, so that will be as far as setting up, Rental Controls Go
4:48
We highly appreciate your attention. Thanks for watching and bye-bye
