Welcome. In front of me is a OnePlus Nord 3 and today I will show you how you can record a screen on this phone
0:09
So to get started pull down your notifications slash toggles by swiping down from the top of your screen and swipe down once again on the toggles to extend the list of
0:18
them and on one of the pages you should have the screen recording toggle. Now if you don't see it on the first page swipe to the
0:25
left and you will see a second page where I can already see the toggle
0:30
So once you see the screen recording toggle you can either tap on it to start recording or you can hold it and this will quickly take you to the settings where you
0:38
can customize how the device will be recording the quality of it
0:42
So you can navigate in here to the definition and change it for instance from medium to high which will increase the resolution of the recording from
0:51
720p to 1080p which I would highly recommend doing and also it will increase the bitrate to accommodate for that resolution bump
0:59
Now keep in mind by increasing the resolution and the bitrate this
1:03
screen recording will take a little bit more space on your storage, but at 1080p I would say it's fairly manageable as
1:12
the megabits per second would imply we get it takes 16 megabytes per second
1:21
So about a minute is like about 80 megabytes, so that's almost nothing I would say. Anyway below that we have frame rate and
1:31
here we have set dynamic which is default. Now we only have three other options at 30, 24 and 15 and
1:40
I'm gonna keep it on dynamic just to test a theory right here
1:44
which if I'm correct dynamic will allow you to record at 60 frames while you don't actually have a 60 frame rate option in here
1:52
So I'm gonna see if that is the case and yeah, anyway
1:57
Now next thing we have a couple additional toggles so choose them at your own will if you want them toggle them on if you don't keep them off or whatever and
2:04
close this now. Find the toggle once again, tap on it. This will bring up this overlay with close
2:12
microphone system sound and record option. Now system sound will be automatically toggled on so whatever the noise
2:19
the device makes will be recorded. Well microphone is by default to turn off
2:23
so if you want to turn it on you just tap on it and then toggle it on like so and
2:28
it's now gonna record microphone as well. So I am going to turn that off actually. From there you can select the record button. It will give us a counter countdown or
2:39
counter on how long it's been recording and whatever you do right now will be recorded by the device
2:53
Now keep in mind I'm right now opening up Netflix just to kind of test something you can already see there's a Netflix and
2:59
something on the screen. I'm gonna close this and the reason I opened it up is because if we go back to the screen recording what I'm expecting
3:06
we'll see is just a straight-up black screen from Netflix. So anyway, I'm gonna close it now
3:13
So just tap on the check mark right here. This will automatically save your screen recording into your photos application
3:22
It's going to be visible under well if it was just captured under today
3:26
but later on if you want to come back to it later on you could navigate to albums and
3:31
select screenshots and as you can see it's under screenshots for some reason
3:35
but it's right here and once you tap on it it will start automatic playback
3:41
So let's give it a second. You can see this gray dot. That's where my finger was pressing
3:45
You can turn that off if it's distracting in the screen recording settings
3:50
Now we see the logo and after a moment once it loads up we will most likely see a black screen
3:57
And yep, there we go. As you can see there is nothing on here. Before we had this logo right here a little bit of a white background
4:04
So just to kind of clarify what's happening Netflix is one of those douchey little apps that basically blocks screen recorders and possibly screenshots
4:12
So if you try to record it all you get is black screen although they I don't think can block sound
4:19
So you will get sound from the screen recording. Now Netflix isn't the only application
4:25
There are other applications like bank apps that will also block screen recorders and sometimes screenshots
4:30
So that is something to keep in mind that if you ever encountered such a recording
4:35
just know that you literally cannot do anything about it apparently. But anyway with this being said hopefully you found this video helpful
