Welcome and welcome to Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite and today I will show you how to record screen
0:12
on this phone. And to get started pull down the notification panel and find the screen recorder toggle
0:19
which for me is right here in the bottom left corner on the second page
0:23
Once you find it you can either tap on it to immediately start recording or hold it
0:28
which will take you to a page where you have all the screen recordings along with the option
0:34
to access settings from here. So once you go into the settings you can change a couple of them to fit your needs
0:42
So you have resolution, I would recommend you to keep the resolution as it is though
0:47
Then we have video quality, we have 16 megabits per second, you can go higher although I believe
0:53
anything past like 24 or 32 will be an overkill and you won't really see much of a difference
0:59
at this resolution so 16 or 24 will be good enough. Now I'll also mention that the higher you go the more space the video will take per minute
1:09
and same goes with reducing it so if you go down to for instance like 1 megabit it's going
1:14
to take way less space per minute than with the 16. Then we have orientation, so just the orientation of the recording, you can keep it as it is
1:27
probably the best option so when you start recording video in a landscape mode it's going
1:32
to record it in landscape and when you switch to portrait it's going to record in portrait
1:37
Then below that we have a fixed frame rate so it just sets the frame rate to be constantly
1:42
at a specific rate and that is set to be 24. Recommend you to switch it to 30 at least, that is the highest we can go here unfortunately
1:51
but still it's going to be better than 24. Then we have a couple additional toggles, so we have lock screen to end the recording
1:57
we have show touch gestures when you're touching the screen, visualize navigation buttons so
2:01
show prompts when pressing home screen, menu and back button, meaning these buttons right here
2:07
Not exactly sure how that works with gestures. And lastly we have go back to screen recorder when you finish recording which means it will
2:15
take you to this page right here. So anyway once you set it all up the way you want it, all you need to do now is tap
2:22
on the toggle, low battery, I am charging so that shouldn't matter
2:30
So there we go, as you can see it's recording right now, I can move that around, it's not
2:33
going to be visible in the recording just so you know. And anyway whatever you will do right now will be recorded by the device apps as well
2:46
So once you're done all you need to do is press on that square right here to finish it up
2:50
Now I'll additionally mention going back to the apps that not every app will allow you
2:56
to record it. So as an example Netflix will literally just block your recording, meaning that if you
3:03
start recording and you go to the Netflix application, all you will get from that, playing
3:08
a video or TV show, stuff like that, is just a completely black screen
3:13
You will I believe get sound from it but there won't be any visual, any kind of visual
3:19
from it. So anyway once that recording has been saved you can find it in your gallery application
3:27
and albums and screen recorder, and there it is. So, that is how you record your screen and if you found this very helpful don't forget
3:51
to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
