hard reset this device through recovery mode in order to get rid of your screen

lock. So assuming you don't know your screen lock this will help you

completely get rid of it. Now the downside is if you are also logged into

a Google account that the device becomes FRP locked and what that means is once

reset is finished and you're going to the setup you will need to verify either

the screen lock or the Google account that was previously signed in or used on

lock the device and you can see that I do have a pin and I'm gonna start off

turns off you want to hold power and I believe it's a volume down. Okay so that

boots us into fastboot mode so let's hold I guess power key and right away

I'm gonna hold power and volume up. There we go. Okay so it took me a couple of tries to

figure it out but the way you boot into recovery mode is by holding power key

and volume up so if you turned off your device hold power and volume up. If you

boot it like me to fastboot mode by mistake you can hold power key till the

screen turns off so you don't see the fastboot mode and then switch to holding

power and volume up and when you see the Mi logo you can let go of both of those keys. You will then be presented with this little page right here Android

with no commands so hold power key press volume up once and this will take you to the recovery mode and in here using volume keys you want to scroll down and

select wipe data factory reset confirm it with power key and select factory

data reset the same way. It will start formatting data and then data wipe

complete at which point reboot system now will be selected by default so press

power key once again and this will reboot the device and continue factory

resetting in the background. It might take the device a little bit longer to
