Welcome
0:07
So in front of me I have the new Samsung Galaxy S-21
0:12
This is just a simple base version of it. But what I wanted to show is just a customization of it
0:18
Now this will be what I use on a daily basis and as a quick little showcase, this is basically
0:24
what I use. Now you are free to customize it differently if you want to
0:28
So I'm just going to give you the tools to kind of do it yourself and take whatever you like
0:33
So right of the bat, there is one thing that we'll need
0:37
And basically almost everything here will be free on Play Store with the actual ability
0:43
to, for instance, purchase a Pro version. So as an example, the bread and butter of this for me is the Smart Launcher, Smart Launcher
0:51
5 exactly. And it does have a free version with a little bit of a caveat that it comes with a
0:58
ads, so might not be the most appealing thing for everybody. But those ads are necessarily the most annoying thing
1:05
They are only visible if you go to the opt-tray. And when you have like categories, which you will see in a second, I will have a little
1:13
bit of a banner at the bottom. It is super small. It's not really intrusive
1:17
It doesn't go over your apps or stuff like that, so don't worry about that one
1:21
It doesn't really stop you from using the launcher at all. Now on my version you won't see it because I did purchase
1:28
this. So, yeah, there is no ads. And basically what you will see here is just the pro version
1:34
of it. The difference between the pro version and just a free one will be things like, well
1:41
lack of ads and a couple tiny bit of customizations, which I'll point out when I actually
1:48
well, I'll basically will show you actually all of them what you get with the pro version as well
1:53
But like I said, the bread and butter is the smart luncheon
1:58
which you can get from Play Store for free. Now, when you download it, it's right here, it's going to be shown us free
2:04
so you can just simply download it, and basically it has an option to be purchased
2:08
once you open it up. So if I open it in there, let's get started
2:12
I agree, whatever. Except allow, allow, allow, allow. And there we have wallpaper
2:19
Cool. Let's set it up. And there is our smart launcher. And by default, it is a little bit plain
2:27
Okey, it does have some usability already. So as an example, if you go into Uptray, which I believe is up, yep, there we go
2:35
You have all these categories, which I believe these are the best part of this launcher itself
2:41
So you have basically everything in categories. And even when you install new apps, you won't actually have to sort them yourself
2:48
They will be sorted automatically. You can create additional categories in here
2:52
So add favorites if you wanted to and just drop a couple apps in there, which you consider favorite
2:57
Then, outside of that, you do have things like your sort of Google feed, but not really
3:05
Then widget pages. So yeah. Now let's get straight into the customization
3:09
So I'm going to hold it. And I'm going to start off by going into things like my page manager
3:18
So start off, get rid of this. Get rid of this. I don't really like the widget page itself
3:26
move the up page here. I'm going to remove also the crappy Google page and substitute
3:33
for actual Google page. As you can see right here, now for the Google page you will
3:40
actually need to download a additional plugin. It's completely free though. So we can simply
3:44
I'm going to give you a pop-up and redirect you to their website where you can download it and
3:48
install it. And then it will be free to actually add the Google page. Then let's see what we
3:54
at here, good news, search and let's keep it as it is right now, let's apply it
4:00
So right of the bat, we have the Google feed right here and then the app page right here
4:04
Now, I'm going to also remove a couple additional things, so let's go to Homepage and
4:10
I'm going to go for a search bar. Don't really care for it, and there are different ways of searching here
4:16
Go back, button buttons are already disabled, so don't have to do anything here
4:21
and see layout we can resize icons if you want to so it is a little bit
4:29
annoying that that resize thing kind of covers it up but when you start sliding it
4:34
it goes transparent so you can actually see them so you can see there we go let make them a little bit smaller there we go good enough So now there it is So you can see it already looking a little bit better
4:52
Now there is one little thing that I like here, just as an ease of use
4:56
which is when you hold it, it brings up this Smart Lunchroom Mini. But when you tap on wallpapers
5:01
they have a couple built-in different wallpapers that they pull wallpapers from
5:07
You can cycle them through, pick if you want something. It's completely random, so if you open it up again
5:14
the wallpapers that we will find are completely different. So I just minimize it, top on it again
5:19
As you can see, they reload it, and they are now completely different. So you can find if you like something, set it up
5:25
If you don't, then you can download your own and set it up as well. But just because I don't really want to mess around
5:31
I'm going to pick something like this. Cool. Now I do have one later on that I'm going to supplement
5:38
student for. Now as you can see there's things like effects so when you scroll to
5:44
the up page it does also slide the wallpaper you can change that if you
5:48
don't want it so we're gonna go into these settings and scroll wallpaper
5:52
wallpaper and I personally just don't like it and well I'm basically talking
5:59
about things like that if we pull it up you will have premium features right
6:04
here and this is basically what you get with the pro version of this to
6:08
things like blur, parallax effects, so when you move the phone, like left, basically
6:13
twist it around, it will move the wallpaper along with it, adaptive icons, smart screen
6:20
off. Now this is kind of crappy. If you're going to purchase it, I would suggest to not use
6:26
it. Sometimes it's just going to lay the phone or not move it too much and it will detect or think
6:32
that you're putting down the phone and it's going to lock it. It's a little bit annoying
6:36
I'll try immersive mode, which removes the buttons, and also this little toggle right here
6:41
So if we go into set, we can turn it on. There we go
6:46
We have also Amelette Black. So if you have, well, this device, you do have an Ammolet display
6:52
And if you set it up, it's going to basically turn any kind of area. For instance, like right here, this is right now grayish
6:58
If you turn on Amolet Black, it's going to turn fully black, so all the pixels here won't be even turned on, which is really nice, I would say
7:06
And then we have some badges, different ways of organizing icons, folders, inside of the
7:14
apps or like categories, multiple home page widgets and pop-up widgets. This is also kind of interesting
7:21
So basically you can set it up to either open an app or pop up a widget
7:27
And going to it, not sure where I can swipe up. legit
7:34
So with the apps
7:48
With the ops, for instance, again, let's remove some of them because they're a
7:53
little bit bad. There we go. Shorten them. So for instance, let's see, we have a browser here, right
7:59
Now when you open it up, it's going to ask which one you want to use. default so just select whichever one you want oh let's also change it to be
8:09
default and default launcher there we go so now it's default default
8:20
so cool thing with for instance these apps I believe this is a premium
8:26
feature so you can set up things like double double topping an app so it's going to
8:32
settings, double top, and for instance we can choose to be YouTube
8:36
Right. So now single top is Chrome. Double top is YouTube. And you can set it up for everyone
8:44
Now also one of the other options is if you want to, you can go for double top as a widget instead
8:49
So pop up widget and it will bring up a widget of your choice, whichever one you select, which is also kind of cool
8:56
Now let's get back into the customizing. So let's go into the homepage, right
9:02
Actually no. Up page. See how I'm looking for... Oh, there we go, global appearance
9:15
I think that's where it is. So icon appearance. And in here we can go to icon pack and for instance select a different icon pack
9:23
Now as you seen the one that I am using here is the white cons They a little bit more minimalistic and I believe they look good if you have a fairly clutter wallpaper
9:36
So one that is really simple. Those will look really great. There is also a black version of this so instead of having them fully white you can have them fully black
9:45
And if you're using a light wallpaper, whiteish, a lot of white colors on it or just like bright colors
9:51
you might want to go with the opposite of white because it will kind of be kind of
9:55
blend the icons with it. So now if we leave, you can see that, there we go, we have white cans
10:02
everywhere. You can also change it so, for instance, icons are different in your up trade than
10:06
they are right here. Now also, let's get rid of this widget right here. There we go. Boom
10:15
we gone. And from here, we can actually add our own. Now I will be using the KWGT widgets. I do also
10:23
own this they do have a pro and again free version unfortunately without the pro version you
10:31
won't be able to use the exact widget that I'll be using for here so just putting that
10:35
other but you can set it up to be something else which I'll be using one of the flow
10:40
widgets so let's get rid of this and let's add our widget so then add it find
10:48
this go kwgt cool create and let's also resize it a bit
10:55
There we go. And let's top on it to add our widget
11:02
So flow, oh, by default, you will need to, you know, agree to everything, stuff like that, but I have already done it
11:10
And now I'm looking for, actually don't remember the name of it
11:14
but should be able to find it now. It is really hard for you to see that there is something here
11:19
but it does show, for instance, a time right here, 2117, I can barely see it but on the camera it looks like it is a little bit blown out so you might not be able to
11:32
But once I actually find it and selected you should be able to see it without any problem
11:42
There we go. So for me I'm going to be picking the Flow 20 and there it is. So now we have to actually customize it because if I tap on
11:53
on save right now and leave this. As you can see it's a little bit not proportional to how
11:59
I want it to look like. So let's stop on it. Then go to date and time. A layer and let's simply
12:08
add 150. Maybe that's enough. Let's see. Nope, that's still far away from what I wanted to look
12:18
like. See now. Okay, that's a little bit better. So make it go a little bit more up
12:26
There we go. And now you can actually keep it as it is if you want it like that
12:31
You can also go into the flow, right? And you can actually make it so each one of these parts is clickable and does specific things
12:40
So for instance, if you type on time, it will open up clock
12:44
Or if you type on, for instance, Tuesday, it will open up calendar
12:49
Now to do so, what you want to do is go into the, again, top on the
12:53
seen date and time. Then we're going to go into, believe it was, see, I'm kind of needing to
13:01
figure this out as I go. Okay, so there we go. So I tapped on the text right here, which is Tuesday
13:07
You have also the 02, which will be the date. Also selecting both of them. Let's see. And from here
13:16
we can go to the touch section, tap on add, single, click
13:23
on that, click on that once more, and then let's see we're going to launch an app
13:29
And then as can see, adds up, let's click on this. And from here we're going to select calendar
13:34
So somewhere on the top. Where is calendar? Whoops, I completely missed
13:41
Calendar, there we go. Now make sure you always stop on save
13:45
So now if I tap on it, it opens up. Where is it
13:49
There we go. Calendar. Now I did only select it to be by tapping on the two so it also have to do the same thing
13:58
for the Tuesday. And now if you tap on anything else rather than the two it will open up the widget edit
14:05
So again you can simply go into here Tuesday touch plus single double and then launch up calendar calendar and there we go And now both of them are adding calendar
14:23
Now going back into it, can go into time, again touch, add, add, and launch up, and choose an up, clock
14:36
Save, and now if you top on it, now for some reason, every time you top on it
14:41
for the first time it just kind of crashes at the moment after setting it up
14:45
but it should work later on flawlessly. Okay, I think I know what is causing the problem here
15:02
which I haven't really tested this before. I'm doing this basically as I go
15:06
and I believe it's actually the immersive mode that is causing the problem
15:11
here. So we can actually test it out by going again into Leveras somewhere here
15:20
Ultra immersive. Let's go to set and disable it. Now this unfortunately will keep this
15:26
little bar at the bottom, but... nope, it seems to still do the same thing. So maybe there's just
15:33
need to be an update for the app to support better Android 11. Because at the moment it does
15:39
this weird glitch as you can see. But still, usability is still there if you wanted to
15:43
Now you do need to, I guess, deal with it for the moment until it gets updated
15:49
And like I said, you can customize any thing in here. It can make apps different
15:54
Do you have something that I really like, which is this store page right here
15:59
which is accessible on every single category page. And again, everything here can be changed around
16:07
So for instance, swiping from the site to get the apps, I can be switched to basically any direction if you wanted to
16:13
There's also one more thing that I'll add in here because at the moment to actually pull down the notifications
16:21
even if you go through the settings and select the pull-down notification panel instead
16:25
it won't work. So we have to do it through the actual launcher here
16:30
And this is under the shortcuts. So gestures and hotkeys. Hotkeys. Let's see
16:37
Actually not here. Is it this? Oh, there we go. Enable swipe gestures and then single finger and swipe down
16:47
LS shortcut and show notification panel. There we go. So now you want to actually pull it down, it gets notification panel, which is even better
16:58
And if you want to change wallpaper, you can quickly again go into here and simply choose
17:03
any kind of wallpaper you want, set it up and give it a second
17:10
There we go. So, that is basically how you can customize your device
17:16
Now, keep in mind you can basically alter everything in here, change the widgets if you wanted to set up different fonts, different icons
17:24
basically different wallpaper. So this is fairly versatile beyond the extent. And the best part of this, in my opinion, the launcher itself
17:33
is the way you can add shortcuts to it. So as you've seen, for instance, I can have double-click option right here
17:40
here and open up a, for instance, YouTube instead of a browser
17:46
If I tap on it once, it opens up a browser. And basically this can be done for every kind of app
17:51
And still, you have the notification and our app tray right here
17:55
And if you for instance pull it down, you can have notifications
17:59
If you pull it up, I do have it disabled, but you could go in and for instance, go into page
18:05
manager, add things like the search page, which I'm not going to actually launch because it's
18:10
is going to open up contacts which I do want to avoid here and when you do the search
18:15
page it does allow you to search quickly for apps that are already installed it will also show you
18:20
your apps that you use often which basically get well normally set there by how often you use them
18:28
and shows you also your contacts which you use most often just a quick way of accessing your
18:34
most used parts of the device I guess so highly recommend the launcher and customization is up to you if you like it or not but like I said you can
18:44
customize it however you like so that being said if you found this video helpful
18:48
