Welcome, I'm from the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and today I'll show you how to enable and
0:11
set up the Do Not Disturb mode. Now to get started, let's pull down the notification panel and find the toggle which for me is
0:19
located on the last one right here. Now before you actually tap on it to enable it, you want to hold it and this will take
0:26
us to the settings where we can customize it. So we have turn on as scheduled, we can set up a schedule and kind of forget that it even
0:35
exists and you do it by tapping on the plus button and naming it whatever you want
0:41
And from here we have days of the week, so select ones that you want. I'm going to make Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 as a work one and start time
0:53
So 9 obviously, there we go. And then time 5. This is a 24 hour clock so 17, there we go
1:05
And then tap on OK. And as you can see, it's automatically enabled right here and also turned on automatically
1:11
right here as well because it is right now 11.23 so it is in the time period that it
1:17
should be working. So apart from that, we have also the duration
1:21
So this is just when you tap on it manually, this will pop up
1:26
Now I would suggest that you select ask every time. So this way when you do it, let me just quickly demonstrate it
1:34
If I disable it and enable it like so, it will pop up this window and ask me which one
1:42
do I want. So I can either have it for 1 hour, 2, 3, however many hours I want or until I turn
1:49
it off. So until I turn it off, you do have to turn it off yourself later on
1:56
And then below that we have the hide notifications. So you can simply hide different kind of notifications and allow exceptions
2:05
And this is probably the most control you will have over this mode
2:10
So exceptions will be whatever is kind of disregarding the do not disturb mode
2:17
So calls, you can allow calls from all, contacts only, favorite or none
2:22
So all would kind of defeat the purpose of this. Probably favorites would be the best option or none
2:32
And also for calls you have things like repeated callers. So if someone calls you twice within a 15 minute period, no matter what the setting
2:38
right here is, as you can see right now it's none. If I enable this and someone calls me twice, the second time around I will still actually
2:45
see that they're trying to reach me. So this is a good option for emergencies
2:50
And it will completely bypass the setting above. Then we have messages from, and again same kind of options, all, contacts, favorites
2:58
and none. So select which one you want. And below that we have just simple notifications about, or sound notifications in this case
3:06
And all our media, so start sounds, calendar events and reminders. So select whichever one you want
3:13
So from there once you select all of it, you can simply leave it and never come back to this section ever again
3:19
And now any kind of schedule and do not disturb mode whenever you enable it will obey by the
3:26
allow exceptions that we have set. So keep that in mind. When you tap on turn on, it will turn on
3:34
So that is how you enable and set up the do not disturb mode
3:39
