Welcome, in front of me is a Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite and today I will show
0:05
you how we can hard reset this device to recovery mode. Now that being said this
0:14
will also allow you to get a bit of a screen lock so if you have one set that you don't know you can remove it this way. Now that being said let's start off
0:22
by turning off our device so we're gonna hold our power button and there we go
0:29
And then select power off and when the device turns off you want to hold your
0:34
power button and the volume up at the same time. After a moment you will see a
0:43
Huawei logo on the screen at which point you can let go the power button but keep
0:49
holding volume up. As you can see this will take us to the recovery mode. I'm
1:08
gonna cut off the top of the display but there's nothing there as you can
1:12
see. So anyway in here we're simply gonna select wipe data factory reset and it
1:18
will tell us to type in yes to confirm it so just simply type in as you can see
1:26
it shows up right here and then we can select factory reset
1:32
Okay so this is another probably important information to some people so
1:38
this will remove Google or it will remove screen lock but if you are also
1:43
logged into a Google account it will basically mean that the device will
1:46
become FRP locked and at that point you would basically need to verify either
1:51
one of those so screen lock or Google account once the reset is finished when
1:55
you go into the setup of it. If you don't know either one of those the device
1:59
basically becomes unusable to you because you won't ever be able to
2:03
actually finish up the setup so you'll be stuck on it. So yeah basically if
2:08
you're logged in into Google account you will need to enter your Google password to access your device after resetting factory settings. Anyway I'm gonna confirm
2:17
this by selecting wipe data as you can see this begins factory resetting it I
2:22
believe it only gets like 10 or 20 percent something along those lines and
2:26
then it automatically becomes finished. Or a little bit more. Oh there we go so about 23 and once it's finished and
2:37
you're taking back to the main page right here you want to simply select reboot system now this will initiate a reboot of the device and then puts you
2:45
into the Android after a moment once it's done doing whatever it's doing in
2:50
the background with the factory reset which at this point will present us with
2:54
the setup screen for our device. So I'll be back once that is visible for me
3:11
And as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your device
3:17
however you like. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like
