Welcome! The phone is a Samsung Galaxy A42 and today I will show you how to

hard reset the device through recovery mode. Now this process will also remove a

screen lock if you have one that you just don't know the combination to it

but we will need a computer along with a cable for it. So the cable, plug into your

computer obviously and from there simply connect it as well to the other side

and here connect to your phone. There we go. And once it's connected what you want

to do is hold power key and volume down and once the device shuts off you would

then want to hold power key and volume up. Now we do hold power key and volume down

for the reason that if you try to normally shut it off as you will see it

will tell you to draw the pattern to turn off the phone. So we will just get past this by simply holding power key and volume down till it turns off
