Hi guys, in this video I would like to show you how to switch on reactivation lock
0:12
Reactivation lock is a security feature that enables you to use your Samsung account to
0:17
prevent anyone else from activating your phone. When you turn on your reactivation lock, you will be asked to log in with your Samsung
0:26
account before performing a factory reset. Here I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0
0:35
In order to switch on reactivation lock, I should first sign in a Samsung account in
0:41
my device. So I should open apps, find settings and under user and backup tab I should have something
0:54
like accounts. Here I have user and backup and I've got accounts option
1:00
So I can open it and here I have the only option right now which is add account
1:08
Of course I should tap it. Now I can see the list of available accounts
1:16
Of course I should choose Samsung account. And now I've got two options, create account and sign in
1:25
I already have an account in Samsung service so I just click sign in
1:35
Here I have the empty space to input the ID. In my case it is like that
2:03
So done. And here I can enter my password
2:16
Ok everything seems to be perfect. Now I can click done
2:32
And operation is completed. My Samsung account is signed in my phone
2:38
I can back to settings. And now I should find security which should be under the system options
2:53
Here it is. I should choose security. And here I have a couple of features
3:00
And under find my iPhone I've got something like reactivation lock
3:12
In order to activate this feature I should click this bracket
3:21
Now the information and warning appears on my screen. After reading this I should tap OK
3:31
And now I'm asked to confirm this operation by typing in the password from my Samsung account
3:40
So let me do it. Ok confirm
3:49
Operation is in progress. And as we see reactivation lock is activated
3:57
So now when I want to perform a factory reset, for example using MNE, I can tap backup and
4:07
reset, tap factory data reset, reset device. And now I'm asked to confirm a password
4:16
And without confirming this operation using Samsung password I'm unable to perform a factory reset
4:26
Thank you for watching
