Welcome

In front of my name is a Xiaomi Mi9 SE and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and tricks you can do on this device
0:14
So we're going to begin with the dark mode which you can find in the settings under display
0:19
You'll have the dark mode right over here. Let's cancel this. And as you can see we do have the simple toggle for it
0:29
we also have the ability to set it up as a schedule which is a really nice thing
0:33
so as you can see it will enable itself at 7 p.m. and disable itself at 7 a.m
0:40
I believe if we flip it over like that that is going to be more adequate so it should turn on
0:47
dark mode in okay never mind the time isn't correct so that would explain why
0:51
So yeah so if the time moves would be correct I believe this would then look better right now right
0:58
now it's thinking that instead of being like 5.30 p.m. it's 6 a.m. basically so yeah
1:06
But anyway from here set up a schedule which will turn on and off dark mode automatically
1:12
making it a really nice feature I would say. Let's go back and move to the next one which is going to be the full screen display
1:21
and what does what this does is remove the buttons from the bottom and stop them for gestures
1:27
Now by default normally, This is called a gesture navigation, but Xiaomi decided to spice things up and call it full screen display or navigation
1:35
however they calling it here. And also make it completely unsearchable, because I guess finding it as part of the fun I have no clue But anyway let find it which I believe it located in additional settings full screen display and full screen gestures
1:54
Now when you enable it by the first try, no first time, we'll get this pop-up to learn those gestures
2:00
so we can quickly go over them or disregard them if you already have used it
2:05
Let's stop on learn. And quick swipe from the bottom will basically act as a home button
2:10
Then swipe off and hold is a recent and swiping from the sides is the equivalent of the buck button
2:20
And as you can see, the gestures are fairly intuitive, really nice and quick to use
2:24
and also a little bit better place than the buttons at the bottom, what I would say
2:30
Now also, additionally, I'll add that if you have never used them
2:34
you might struggle at the beginning with using the gestures. so I can give you a little bit of a tip for, especially for like the home and recent gesture
2:43
Normally people try to use this by swiping on the screen up. That will result in you failing probably half of the time
2:50
So you'll just simply swipe up instead of going home. So if you want to actually go home or to recent
2:57
you want to start the swipe on the bezel, not on the screen, and then swipe up
3:02
This will result in you actually getting the gesture correctly every single time
3:07
So anyway, let's move on to the next option, which is called split screen
3:13
Now, this can be fairly useful for some apps. As an example, YouTube is one of the prime candidates what I would call for split screen
3:25
Now, disregard the fact that I have no internet. So once you open up the app that you want to split screen with which the first app you will split screen with will always go to the top so i starting with youtube so let go into the recent and from here you want to hold
3:43
our as you can see the the application itself and it will bring up this panel on the side
3:48
and from here you can open it up and split screen by simply topping on it it will go to the top like i
3:53
mentioned and then it will show you the rest of the recent applications now you can completely disregard this
3:59
Go home if you want to This will not close the app that is on top right here
4:03
And from here you can open up the app that you wish to split screen with
4:07
Now the reason why I say that YouTube is one of the better options for this
4:11
Is because YouTube will not stop playing music when it's being split screen
4:16
So you can use for instance Chrome Search for stuff and listen to music on top right there
4:21
And this will not pause your music even when you go home like this Even though it shrinks a little bit it still keeps music playing it never stops because
4:29
because the application thinks that it's still open. And to be fair, it is open
4:34
Now additionally, what you could do is let me just quickly make it full screen
4:38
and go back to the recent. So additionally, what you could do is hold it
4:42
and you also have this tiny little thing right here below the split screen. And this opens up a floating window
4:49
which you can see is just a tiny little window which can move to the side, minimize it
4:55
I believe it still works normally when it's minimized. So you can minimize it and do other stuff
5:01
Now obviously YouTube will always pause the music when you lock the device
5:05
I don't think there is a way around that unless you're paying a fee. So anyway, to get rid of this, you can just simply swipe up
5:14
Now moving on to the next option it gonna be the game turbo And you can find it again in the settings You can actually hit the settings button And special features right at the top Game Turbo
5:28
And as you can see, it will open up this kind of boost window
5:34
And we have a couple different information right at the top in this super faint text
5:38
So right now we have 10% CPU usage, I believe. Let me just quickly
5:44
I actually have no clue because, they both are the same so I believe one is probably like the CPU and GPU usage I have no
5:51
clue which one is which they are identical so anyway right here just to explain this mode you will
6:00
see all the games that you have to add them if you have some kind of games the the application
6:06
didn't realize you can do this and when you launch them from this application they will have
6:12
specific additions to them so as an example launching any kind of game from here will give the game more performance
6:21
So any kind of app that is running in the background, so as an example for me, it would be settings and YouTube
6:26
will be terminated so it won't use any kind of resources of the device
6:30
giving the full speed of the device just to the single game. And additionally, you can also block notifications
6:37
just so you have uninterrupted gaming session. So it's an application specifically for, well, gaming
6:46
as you probably figured. But anyway, this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that I want to share with you
6:53
and if you found any of them helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
