Welcome, in front of me is a Sony Xperia 10 Mark V and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and the tricks you can do on this phone
0:10
So, let's just get straight into it. We're going to begin by opening up settings and we're going to navigate to display
0:19
Right over here. Now in here, I'm going to start off with the image quality settings
0:24
This is just a color mode basically, but we do have the Sony typical original mode, which tries to faithfully display original colors, basically the creator's intended image, as we could call it
0:38
Now it does make the display look a little bit more yellowish, but in terms of my preferences, that's exactly what I would like, so there we go
0:46
Now, moving on to the next option. It's the one-handed mode and because this device resembles more a remote controller rather than a typical phone, you might have a use of that
0:58
So to enable this, we're just going to again stick with the display section and we have one-handed mode right over here
1:03
We can enable it and then you swipe down here. Nope. How do you activate it on here
1:16
So we have a shortcut. One-handed mode makes it easier, blah, blah, blah, to reach your double tap
1:29
Ah. So that's how you enable it with the buttons. Now the reason I'm saying with buttons, because if we turn off the buttons and change it to gesture navigation
1:45
System navigation and the gestures. Now, we swipe down on the very bottom of the screen and it does the same thing, because we don't have a home button anymore
1:58
So there we go. Now, moving on to the next option, just quickly go back
2:05
We're going to touch upon the dark mode, which again was under the display and we have it right here
2:11
It's called the dark theme. Regardless of the tag right here or toggle, when you tap on the text, it actually gives you more options like the schedule mode
2:20
which will allow you to set it up so it turns on and off automatically based on either the sunset to sunrise or provided time
2:27
So you can change it or set it and then the device will be changing this for you dynamically, which is pretty nice
2:35
Now, moving on to the next option. It's going to be the, as it's called, side sense, I think
2:42
It's basically the Samsung copied little bar on the side or maybe Samsung copied it from them
2:49
I actually don't know. Nonetheless, you can barely see it right here, so I'm going to go home and you can see it now a bit clearer
2:56
The settings for this are located under the settings and then operations and view right over here
3:04
And we have the side sense. And if you want to use it, obviously, just have it enabled
3:11
I believe it's enabled by default, but if you want to turn it off, you could do it from there. Nice time, by the way
3:17
Anyway, once you have this on, you can just... And we double tap on it. That's interesting
3:23
Now, the first time around, it gives you this wonky animation. Completely disregard this. It doesn't really matter
3:29
So we're just going to... Okay, cool. So here we have multi windows and then we have main and pop-up
3:42
So what this refers to is if I were to open up an application, that's going to be a phone
3:46
Whereas if I were to open up an application, that's going to be a full app. Let's try it again
3:55
I want to open it up in a pop-up view, which I'm struggling to do so right now. Now..
4:13
Now, right here, because I can't figure out, for the love of me, how to get the pop-up view
4:20
we do have the split screen option. This is a really quick way to basically get your split screen going
4:26
I can... Let's get the button again. Come on. So we should be able to create our own
4:37
We have a couple of pre-made ones. You should be able to edit it right over here and create new ones
4:42
And these will basically stay. So when you click on them, it will automatically launch these two applications simultaneously
4:48
Just to prove a point, I'm going to close it. And I'm going to redo this. So we're going to swipe
4:54
And let's... This, for instance. And you can see that it automatically launches Chrome
4:59
And the maps at the bottom. And I can just use both of them or minimize one
5:05
So there we go. Pretty neat option. So there we go. Now this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that I want to show you
5:12
