Enfilon is a realme GT and today I'll show you how to enable and set up the portable hotspot
0:13
Now to get started, you'll want to pull down your notification panel and find the
0:17
toggle for hotspot, which for me is right here in the corner
0:20
Once you find it, you want to hold it if you're doing this the first time around
0:24
That is because under the personalized hotspot settings, you will find that the password
0:29
that is set by default is just some randomly generated garbage. So let's tap on this and then select our password and for instance remove this one
0:38
and set our own, just one that is easier to remember. When setting your password, it needs to have at least 8 characters in length, but it can
0:46
be letters or numbers, it doesn't really matter. And then below that we have another option that is worth mentioning, which is the AP band
0:54
We have a choice between 2.4 or 5 GHz. Now generally I would recommend you to go with the 5 GHz if you're using any newer
0:59
device to connect to this, because 5 GHz will be faster and more stable of a connection
1:06
The downside is older devices will not support it. Now if you're not sure if your device that you're trying to connect to this hotspot
1:12
with supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, then a simple way of figuring it out is setting it up, turning
1:20
on your hotspot and simply trying to find the hotspot or Wi-Fi in your list by that name
1:27
If you can't find it, that means that your phone or whatever it is does not support it
1:32
And then to fix it, all you need to do is go back here and change it back to 2.4
1:38
And additionally, if you're using a 5 GHz and you have some kind of devices that also
1:42
support Wi-Fi 6, you can toggle it on, though by toggling Wi-Fi 6 you will consume more
1:48
of your battery on this device when it's broadcasting the hotspot. And also, another kind of downside of it is majority of the devices nowadays still
2:00
don't really support it. If you have bought any device in past year or year back, the chances are you don't have
2:08
any support for Wi-Fi 6. From what I'm seeing, devices with Wi-Fi 6 support started coming out in the beginning
2:15
of 2021. So anything below before that most likely does not have it
2:23
Anyway, once you went through all these settings right here, click on the checkbox to save the settings and all you need to do now is find your toggle and simply tap on it whenever
2:31
you want to use your hotspot. When toggling on, you can then connect to that hotspot and once you're done with it
2:39
I do recommend you to try to at least remember to turn it off. I didn't see any kind of setting right here to..
2:45
Oh no, never mind, there is actually one. My bad. It does turn off hotspot automatically, so you don't actually need to remember to turn
2:52
it off. Your phone will do it automatically for you. And I do recommend you to keep that setting on because hotspot does consume extra battery
3:00
and when you're not using it, it will just run for no reason and drain your battery
3:06
So your phone will turn it off automatically when you're done using it
3:09
Additionally, you can do it before the 10-minute mark based on the setting by simply tapping
3:15
on the toggle yourself and this will disable it manually. Anyway, if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
