How to Set Up Portable Hotspot on XIAOMI 12 - Share Mobile Network

In front of me is a Xiaomi 12 and today I'll show you how you can enable and set up your

portable hotspot. So to get started, let's pull down our toggle from the top right side, like so

Expand the list and look for the hotspot toggle, which for me is right here

Now this is the default location of the toggles, so hopefully you can find yours in the exact

same location. So once you locate it, the first time around you want to hold the toggle, just because

this will give you a quick access to the settings, and then here you want to select set up portable

hotspot and start off by changing the password. If you look at it, by default this password is absolutely garbage, so I do recommend completely

removing it and setting up something that is a little bit easier to remember for you

Now it does need to have 8 characters in length at minimum, so there we go

And from there you can save it and that's all you would really need to change

You have couple additional options right here that you can fiddle around with it if you know what they do, so if you do, go right ahead

For the people that don't know what they are, I probably would recommend keeping it at default

This will basically ensure that your hotspot will work every time you actually want to

utilize it. So from here, make sure you tap on the checkbox to save the settings that you have changed

and from now you can just toggle it on whenever you want to utilize our hotspot

So tap on the toggle right here, and that's it. It's now running in the background, and you can see it hopefully somewhere

You can see it right here, but... Oh, so it's this icon right here to signify that we are using hotspot

Now it's kind of weird because if you connect to WiFi, I believe it has the same kind of

almost icon, so you'd have two of these. Now anyway, once you're done with your hotspot, you can turn it off by simply tapping on it

again, and the reason you might want to do that is because hotspot does consume more

battery on your phone, so it's not the best idea to keep it running all the time when
