Welcome, in front of me is a Oppo Reno4Lite and today I'll show you how to transfer files
0:11
from your phone to an SD card and vice versa. So to get started we'll need to open up the files app which is located under the Google
0:18
folder right over here. Let's continue and allow if it requires some access and there we go
0:27
So once you have opened it, at the bottom you'll have the two storages. So you have the internal storage and whatever the weird name here is, that's your SD card
0:35
Now sometimes you will not see any storages right here so to remedy that problem, tap
0:41
on the three dots and basically you'll see this. So show storage devices and once you tap on it, it will pop the storages at the bottom
0:51
So I'm gonna go to the internal storage, that's actually where I believe my photos are
0:56
Let me quickly check, there they are. So as a quick overview, DCIM folder will contain all the pictures and videos that I've captured
1:05
with the device. Downloads folder will contain anything that I have downloaded either through a web browser
1:11
or emails, it all gets saved into it. Then things like music, movies, what else is here, podcasts, ringtones, those folders
1:19
are usually empty, assuming you haven't downloaded some kind of app that saves directly to it
1:25
themselves or you have placed something there yourself. But primarily I would say the most important ones are the downloads and DCIM, along with
1:36
pictures sometimes containing screenshots but it looks like it's not the case here
1:41
So find your files that you wish to transfer, which I'm gonna use photos as an example
1:47
So there they are. And once you find your files, all you need to do is hold them like so, as you can see
1:53
it changes the UI and allows you to then tap on additional files if you want to select multiple
1:58
Now there's one way you can do it by just selecting each file individually or if you
2:04
want entire folder full of them, you can for instance select the entire folder like so
2:09
and that will include all of its content, which for me was the five photos that are inside
2:15
And once you select it, whichever way is more convenient for you, you wanna tap on the three
2:19
dots right here and choose one of the two options, so either move to or copy to
2:24
If you choose to move them, the files will be completely removed from where they are right now and moved to a new location, while if you copy them, it will just duplicate them
2:32
and you'll have two sets of the same files at that point. Now I'm gonna go with move and once you select one of the options, it will bring up this
2:40
menu right here, so select where you want to move them. Now for me right now the files are on the internal storage, so I'm gonna choose the
2:46
SD card and from here it will show me all the content of the SD card
2:51
Now it looks almost identical to the internal storage with basically all the same folders
2:55
in here, they get created automatically. And I can move it wherever I want in here, so if I wanna keep it organized, I could go
3:03
into the DCIM folder and drop it in here, even though there is a camera, but it's empty
3:09
so I'm just gonna drop it right here. So this will create a camera folder along with five photos in there inside of that camera folder
3:18
Let's continue, allow, allow, and there we go. So now if we go back, because we're still in the internal storage and as you can see
3:28
now the camera folder is empty because I chose to move it. So if we go back to SD card, DCIM, camera, there is the camera again, and there they
3:39
are, the four photos that I had previously had on the internal storage
3:44
So that is how you would move any kind of file, document, the way you move it is exactly
3:49
the same, hold it selected and choose either to move or copy
3:54
