device through settings. So to get started we will need to open up settings

And here scroll all the way down to system and then select reset options, which will give you

the option to erase all data factory reset. I'm going to select it. This gives us a list of items

that will be removed from the device or more precisely data and the only ones that you should

really worry about are ones that are being kept locally on the device. That could be music, photos

and user data. Other things that are listed above like downloaded apps, system, app data, settings

Google accounts. Those are all the things that can be regained without much of a problem on any

other device by either re-downloading the applications or signing back into your Google

account and so on. So these three will be the ones that actually matter. Anyway if you need to create

a backup copy of it and if you have already done so or you don't want to back it up you can select

erase all data. Now if you have some kind of screen lock you will need to confirm it I believe

in between those two pages and once you do so you can then select erase all data once again

which will begin factory resetting your phone. Now this process will take about two minutes to
