What you want to do is tap on these three bars. I do have a little circle, normally it won't be there

And from here, go to settings. And on the bottom, you'll find import option

From here, select that you want to import from SIM card. And as you can see, by default, it will select all the contacts that it can import

But for me, it grays out three of the five, because I already have those contacts on my device

So, I won't be able to select them, because they already exist on the device

But I could deselect some of the ones that are already selected
