Welcome! In front of me is an Honor Magic 6 Lite and today I will show you how you can enable and
0:05
also set up your portable hotspot. So to get started you want to pull down your toggles by
0:14
swiping down from the top right side of your screen like so and then locate the hotspot toggle
0:21
For me it is the second one visible right here. I believe this is the default location of them so
0:26
for you it should be roughly in the same place but if you can't find it you might need to just
0:31
swipe down on this panel and this will extend the list of toggles. In any case once you see
0:36
the hotspot toggle you can hold it and this will quickly take you to the settings. Now you do want
0:41
to navigate into the settings because by default the device will just randomly generate some kind
0:46
of password. So you can see this one is not the best one. I recommend removing it. This keyboard
0:53
is awful. And then setting up your own. At minimum it will need to have eight characters
1:00
That can be letters, numbers, it doesn't really matter. Confirm it by selecting OK and that's
1:04
really the only thing that I recommend changing in here. You could go into more and just customize a
1:09
little bit further to fit your needs. Change the for instance the name of it, whatever you want
1:15
But the most important thing that I find is the password which I do recommend changing by default
1:22
Now once everything is set find the toggle once more and simply tap on it to enable your
1:27
hotspot and that's it. Now for the keen eye you've probably also seen that there was a setting that
1:33
automatically turns off your hotspot after five minutes of inactivity. That is the default setting
1:38
so if you want to change it you can do so but I recommend keeping it. You can see it right here
1:45
If you want to change it just maybe make it to like 10 minutes but I don't recommend turning
1:50
that off. And the reason for that is because when you use your hotspot it will be utilizing or
1:56
using more of your phone's battery so if you're done using it there is no purpose for it to be
2:02
running in the background. So that's a great option to have enabled so you can preserve your
2:07
battery when you forget to turn off your hotspot. And obviously you can also turn off that hotspot
2:11
yourself by tapping on the toggle once more. So with that being said if you found this very
2:17
helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
