Welcome. Enfront me is a Nubia Redmagic 8 Pro, and today I will show you how we can enable and set up your do not disturb mode
0:12
So to get started, you want to pull down your notifications by swiping down from the top of your screen
0:18
Swipe down once again to extend the list of tuggles and locate the do not disturb toggle
0:30
So for me it is right over here. It's already enabled, so I'm going to tap on it just to turn it off
0:38
So once you locate this toggle, then you want to hold it
0:42
Now before I do so, I'm going to quickly mention that if you don't see this toggle by default on one of the pages
0:47
you could press right here on this pencil and find it below and the taggles that are turned off
0:53
And you would add them by holding them and then dragging them to the top, dropping them
0:57
And once you go back, they are now added to the table. now add it to your list. So going back to it, once you see this toggle, hold it
1:04
This will take it to the settings. And here we can top on on it to turn it on
1:09
For some reason, we need to turn it on to actually change the settings. Seems a little bit counterintuitive and a little bit dumb, but that's just how Nubia works
1:18
And in here we have a couple options. It's a fairly limited to not disturb mode
1:23
It doesn't give you that many options, but it gives you the important ones. So we have calls
1:27
You can select we can call you. And you have N anyone contact favorites no one And then below that we have repeated callers So no matter what you said right here this option will bypass your calls section
1:39
if someone meets the requirement of calling you twice within a 15 minute period
1:44
If you want this, you can enable it. If you don't, turn it off. And just to kind give you a little bit of a perspective
1:50
you might find this useful in terms of emergencies. Usually people will spam call you
1:55
and they will then meet the requirement to bypass your selection for the donut
1:59
disturb mode, therefore being able to reach you, assuming they really need to
2:05
But let's be honest, there are some also very, very persistent salesman people that might also
2:11
reach or basically fulfill this requirement and still will go through. So it might be a little bit of a hedromise depending on how persistent someone is
2:23
So if you find it that it's annoying you and someone still bypasses it, you can just turn it off
2:28
right here. Now below that we have messages. So here you can also select you can message you and
2:33
again you have the favorite contacts no one and everyone. And then we have two other options for
2:40
reminders and calendar events. So these are ways to bypass this. So reminders if you enable them
2:46
reminders will be able to go through even when the mode is on and same goes for calendar events
2:51
When they are off and you enable your do not disturb mode, those will be blocked by the do not
2:56
disturb mode to not give you any kind of notifications And you also have options for notifications So you can set them up so they either blocked or not blocked by the do not disturb mode depending on how you want it So by default it set to be no visual or sound
3:15
from notifications, so you can change that if you want to do no sound from notifications
3:20
but it will still light up the screen, letting you know that someone, for instance, send you a message
3:25
And that's really all the settings in here. So I'm going to just go back. And whenever you want
3:31
to use your do not disturb mode, just find it and simply tap on it to turn it on and top on it again to turn it off
3:39
Now curiously, I'm going to thinking about it. There is no schedule mode in here
3:46
So, oh no, I guess there is. There we go. So we do have a schedule mode
3:53
It's called timed timer power on. At least I think it's referring to the do not disturb mode
4:00
It sounds like it's going to turn on your device. but I believe it refers to the do not disturb mode alone considering it gives us a lot of these options right here
4:11
So just to kind of go over this quickly, this will allow you to select start and end time
4:19
And it doesn't give you the options for days of the week, which is kind of odd
4:26
So you can set it up so it turns on every day at provided time and then turns off at the provided time
4:33
And then we have again the options that we had previously for the notifications calls messages and so on So you can set it up separately from the do not disturb mode and that it toggle on manually
4:47
And if you're planning to use that, just enable this and it will automatically be turning it on and off
4:52
So as long as you want it, you can have it on in here. Once you want to turn it off, just to kind of showcase this
4:59
because right now, as you can see, it is turned on technically, right? And more precisely, the do not distort
5:07
mode that is on a schedule basis will turn on the actual do not disturb mode at 10 p.m
5:15
And even though it's toggled on to work, you will not see it be on in here
5:21
So as you can see, it's off, and it will only appear as on once 10 p.m. rolls around
5:28
So when you want to disable the actual schedule mode, you will need to go into the settings like we are right now and toggle it off in here
5:35
unlike this one, just to kind of showcase this. If I... Whoops, cancel
5:44
So if I toggle on this one, from the notifications, it toggles on in here
5:52
And by the versa, if I turn it off in here, it also gets toggled off in here
5:57
So you have a little bit more control over it. Now, with that being said, hopefully you found this very helpful
