Welcome
0:07
Here from here. MyZo M8 Light, and today I'll show a couple tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:14
So let's actually unlock it right now. So we're going to begin with the gesture navigation, which can find the system, and then
0:24
navigation and multitasking. Here. Then you have the navigation bar. So right now we're set to the Android navigation bar which is just the physical or almost physical buttons
0:38
But here we have the gestures. And you get an animation of how it works
0:43
So in a brief way, swipe up and hold. It will bring up the recent as you just seen
0:51
If we go back, if you swipe up and let go, it just closes it
0:55
And if you want to go back, you have the aside. side swipe. So you can see if I go for instance into display, swipe from the side, it goes back
1:05
And you can see when it's actually activated by this grayish kind of thing that appears from a side
1:10
So if you want to cancel the back, because for instance you didn't want to swipe, but it's just kind of registered it
1:16
You can just swipe your finger back and it will cancel it
1:20
And the swipe works from both sides as you can see right here as well
1:24
So you can use it from either side. Now moving on, we're going to go into the animation speed, which just simply allows you to
1:32
reduce the animation speed or completely remove it depending on how you like it
1:35
And because this device isn't necessarily the quickest one on the market
1:39
I'm not a greatest fan of having animations on slower devices and this would be one of the places where I'll just disable it
1:47
And if you want to do the same, I can go into number one about phone because we're going to enable to develop options
1:53
So from here, let's find wherever the build number is. So I can actually enable the developer options
2:04
No, definitely not here, I'll like it, no. Oh wait, it's right here
2:13
That's how it is, so there we go. So as you can see, tap on it seven times and it enables it
2:20
And once more you want to tap on the build number. build number right here so it the second last thing and from there let go into develop options which i not really sure where it got enabled so accessibility maybe no so I just going to simply search for it this will probably be easier
2:44
so develop options so it was actually an accessibility let's stop on it and we should now have it right here
2:54
so it's right at the bottom almost developer options and once you tap on it you can then scroll down
3:00
a little bit past halfway and we should see there we go window animation scale
3:04
transition animation scale and animation duration scale and you can either set all of them to
3:10
something like 0.5 which will increase the animation by just twice as much
3:16
or you can set it to off which that's what i'm going to go with this will completely remove the animation so anything i'll be doing will not be animated
3:25
anymore i could actually just go back there we go so you can see opening apps
3:30
and closing them has no more animation. It just pops in and out of existence, basically
3:38
Then moving on, we're going to go into the gestures wake up and stuff like that
3:42
So this is not the same gestures as we're using on the screen
3:47
This is more gestures for like when the device is locked as an example
3:51
So again, let's go to accessibility where we just were. And then you have gesture wakeups right here so you can enable this
4:00
And from here we have double top light up screen, swipe up unlock, that's kind of obvious
4:06
Swipe down open notification shade, so this is actually a nice one so you don't have to reach all the way to the top
4:12
And then you have Horizon Slide to switch songs. So let's just enable upload them
4:23
And again, see double top to wake. then swipe up to unlock
4:31
Now, the swipe up might not be the best. Sometimes you might just touch your screen in the pocket
4:37
and it might register this as a unlock, so keep that in mind
4:43
And also swipe down for notifications, so there we go. So just a nice way of adding some extra settings to your device if you like to
4:54
So moving on, the next thing I'm going to touch on as the themes
4:59
So by default, well, this is the default theme, as you can see right now
5:03
But if you want to change it you can actually hold the screen like so It appears with a couple of options Actually no not here My bad It going to be the settings in the settings and then there is the theme and wallpaper there we go and themes and here you have a bunch of
5:19
additional ones so this is the classic one that I've been using what is this from my finger
5:24
there we go so the classic one is the one that I've been using for this entire video then I can top on
5:30
additional ones and it gives you a brief image on how it looks like so you can see there is a
5:35
difference in icons based on comparing it to this one here we have like all the icons
5:41
brown and colorful then for instance in this one they're more dark and gritty kind of
5:47
like that it's kind of I'm not really sure how to explain but it's just a darker
5:52
theme to it overall and it also goes over apps as well so you can see there you
5:58
have the dialer which changes the green button for a dialer for calling into just
6:03
black one they keep keyboard is just a little bit more dark and white
6:08
Also messaging you can see removes the color from the message bubbles and just changes
6:14
it to dark. And basically everything all around the device will be in this darker theme
6:22
But then you have also the other style. So here you have almost everything pink, lady style as it's called
6:30
And here I have a different one as well just so you can get a good look at the difference
6:35
between different themes. So those are the ones that come with the device and you can choose which one you want by just
6:41
something like this, apply, applying team and give it a moment. But you can also log into the FlyMe app and from there you can actually download more
6:51
So they do have the team store right here and all you need is the account and from there
6:55
I can search for all the teams you want and find whatever suits you the best
7:00
As you can see right now everything is just this dark color. Just top on I got it
7:05
and then there we go you can see that it just shifted in color you just need it to reload the
7:10
app so moving on we're going to go into the up pinning which allows you to simply pin an app
7:20
now if you're wondering why would i want this it's more for these kind of occasions where
7:26
someone wants to use your phone and you might not want them to for instance have access to everything
7:30
on your device and you don't really want to pay attention where they go so what you can do
7:35
number one let enable this so I would go into the settings and then it going to be a finger password and security and it should be right at the bottom right here App pin Enable it And then you have also this option So lag screen when unpinning
7:54
And then, because I don't actually have any way of lacking the device, it's forcing me to set up a lock screen
8:02
So I'm actually going to opt out of this. But basically, if you try to disable it, it will give you a..
8:11
it will give you a lock screen and then you have to unlock the device. And I believe that it might not work very well with the JSTRA navigation
8:19
I don't think they thought that out through because normally you unlock it by pressing two buttons
8:24
the ones that you have navigation buttons. So I'm going to quickly disable them just so I don't have to go into a pain and hustle
8:32
of like trying to figure out how to get out of the app because I already had problems like that on a different device
8:39
So I'm just going to go back to the navigation part, there we go
8:46
And I'm going to change it back to the buttons. So now that the uppinning is enabled, what you want to do is when you have an app open
8:56
so let's just open up call or dialer as an example. Go into recent, go to your app like this one
9:04
Swipe it down, as you can see when you swipe it down. It gives you a couple options. and what you want to do is stop on the pin and you can see that it tells you to hold
9:13
back button and what was it uh so it looks like only back button yep there we go so let me just
9:23
lock it back up so this works properly so when you unlock it and you try to quit it you
9:31
can see that you cannot leave this up now you could go deeper into for instance contacts right here
9:37
and see contacts and stuff like that but apart from that you can't go anywhere else you can't leave
9:42
this out unless you want to unpin but because for instance we have set the lock screen and we have
9:48
the lock when unpened when you would hold the unpin close the back button there we go when it would
9:55
unpin it would automatically lock the device and you still would need to know the pattern to basically
10:01
gain access back to the device so yeah but this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that on a
10:07
share and if you found this video helpful don't forget to like subscribe and thanks for watching
