Welcome, and follow me as a OnePlus 10 Pro and today I'll show you how you can enable
0:12
your power saving mode. So to get started, let's pull down our notifications from the middle, expand it and look for the
0:20
power saving mode, which for me is right over here. Now this is a default location of the toggles, so hopefully you can find yours in the same
0:27
exact one, or exact location. From here, simply tap on it, and there we go, it turns it on and that's all you need
0:34
to do. Now, as you can see when you turn it on, it does give us some kind of estimated time that
0:39
the device will run, so right now it's 8 hours and 7 minutes
0:43
You can also hold it, so it'll take us right here where it actually shows us this thing, percentage
0:58
This is the most annoying thing out here. So let me get back to the settings right here
1:03
So right now, with the power saving mode enabled, we are looking at 8 hours and 7 minutes
1:09
If I turn it off, go back, we're looking at 7 hours and 39 minutes
1:18
7 hours and 39 minutes. Okay, so it gives us barely like half an hour
1:26
That's pitiful. Now, one more thing which I want to check. So this timer right here is absolute bogus
1:34
It does not give us an actual time, this is just an estimated time based on the percentage
1:40
Don't pay attention to it in this case. It's absolutely useless. It's hilarious how a company that is worth probably like billions will do stupid trash
1:50
like this. The reason why this is useless, why I'm saying it, is because it does not take into consideration
1:57
any of the toggles that are turned on right here. Obviously if you have mobile data, Wi-Fi location, and all those toggles turned on, along with
2:06
like brightness maxed out, you most likely will be getting probably not 8 hours in power
2:10
saving mode, but 4 hours. Now this is just like a guess, don't take it with a grain of salt
2:18
It's most likely going to be a lower timer, or maybe higher or whatever
2:24
But as you can see, it does not consider any kind of settings, so I could max out the brightness
2:29
which would obviously decrease the battery life, or I could lower the brightness and
2:33
it should increase the battery life by several hours. If enabling power saving mode on this phone increases your battery life by half an hour
2:44
that's what they're expecting from just the changes that it does, which is disabling Wi-Fi
2:49
mobile data, high refresh rate, and probably 5G, when the device is just not doing anything
2:57
And then your best bet right here to preserve as much battery as you can, is to change the
3:01
actual brightness of your phone. So changing it from like max to half will most likely yield you like 3 or 4 hours of
3:07
additional battery life, which judging by this timer, even though it's incorrect, it
3:13
does consider probably the thing that it changes in itself. So yeah, changing brightness will have much greater impact on your battery life than whatever
3:25
this power saving mode is. Anyway, you can still utilize both if you want to, so that is another thing that you
3:31
can consider. And once you're done with your power saving mode, hop on the toggle once again, and this
3:36
will turn it off. So if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks
