Welcome and for now I'm using a Huawei P40 and today I'll show you how to change the
0:10
language of the device. So as an example if you have placed recently a SIM card into your device and you're not
0:18
let's say in the US but you speak English you'll realize that the amazing device changed
0:23
your entire system's language to the default of the SIM card which seems kind of annoying
0:29
and it didn't even ask a question if you would like to change it. So let me just show it as an example
0:35
Right now you can see that it is clearly in English. So if I pop out the SIM card just make sure that it's still in English there we go
0:46
If I pop it in let's see if it will change it or not
0:59
Nope at least this time it didn't change it. So that's unfortunate for the video apparently but normally when you place in a SIM card
1:09
maybe it just remembers that this specific number should be set to English but if you
1:13
change it or insert a normal card and for me because I'm in Poland it switched automatically
1:19
to Polish whenever I inserted the card for the first time. So from there you would have to go to the settings and change it
1:26
Now if you don't for instance know the language that you're in all you can you can basically
1:31
look at the icons that I'm pressing to define where I'm going to to change the language
1:35
It's going to be always in the same location so you can keep basically check off the icons
1:41
and the position of the option where I'm tapping on it. So to get started you want to go into the settings which is always the gear icon and
1:49
from there we're going to go into system and updates and in here you'll see language and
1:59
input which is a third option right here. Tap on it and then language and region so the first option and you should see basically
2:08
only one language if it changed it automatically when you insert a SIM card it will remove
2:13
the English for instance that you had and keep only the language
2:18
So for me it was Polish as you can see and I had to add manually English because it wasn't here
2:24
So to add a language you want to tap on the add language which is always going to be blue
2:28
one and at the bottom of the language list so let's tap on add language and from here
2:33
you can either search for it by just typing it in or just scroll through the list and
2:37
find the one that you want to use and once you add it like I did with English it will
2:45
prompt you if ask you if you want to change the language the set English as default language
2:51
by just a pop-up window and all you can do is tap on OK which will be located on the
2:56
right side or you can just disregard this click back and from here in this case you
3:01
will have it like this if you don't choose to change it
3:05
So from there what you want to do is basically just grab the two bars and drag it over above
3:10
to be the first language like so and it automatically changes the language as you can see and that's
3:17
all it really takes. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
