Welcome
0:07
Infanominy is a Nokia G11 and today I'll go over unboxing along with a really quick overview of this device
0:15
So starting off the packaging that it comes in. It's a little bit banged up here
0:22
Hopefully the phone inside as well. Pop it open. The phone kind of seems a little bit loose in here
0:32
It's not even sitting well on the little placement here, but anyway, just pop it out
0:40
So here's the device. It looks like it has some kind of protection layer already pre-applied to the screen, so that's nice
0:52
Let's turn it on. And get a look at the banged-up little box here
0:59
So, it's basically what we get in here. Some paperwork. A charging cable, type C to type A
1:11
And a charger, which is actually a surprise, though. This one seems to be..
1:17
Ooh, a 10-watt charger. Wow, that's bad. So, yeah, this charger really hurts my eyes
1:30
I'm just going to get rid of it. Just get a cable. Let's just assume we get a cable because that charger is embarrassing to include with your device
1:38
I'm pretty sure majority of us have a better charger at home with an old device
1:45
Or if not better, probably roughly the same. It's 22. 10 watts ain't gonna cut it so yeah now before I progress with any kind of like specs and
1:58
whatever I'm gonna mention the price tag so this is at above a hundred euro price tag
2:06
so about like 140 over 200 dollars so it is a budget device though it is a little bit on a
2:17
higher end of the budget device and we will see I guess if this is a worth device now personally before I say anything bad or good about this device I'll mention something my thought process on budget phones I just saw anybody that that will watch this I guess can can you see where I am coming from so for me budget devices at least I consider them to be kind of
2:50
are useless, I would prefer to buy a used phone, like a flagship for basically the same price
2:57
but it will obviously outperform this, which you have right here in almost every kind of way
3:02
That is usually the case. So I personally don't see a reason for budget phones
3:09
Obviously, there are reasons for people, like having an actual warranty or for people that don't
3:15
know what they're looking for in a phone. They might get scammed. I do understand this
3:20
So what I consider to be best value for money might not apply to everybody
3:25
but that's kind of how I'm going to be basing this phone just for everybody to kind of see where I am coming from
3:33
So for about 200 bucks, obviously you can get a budget Samsung
3:38
Not budget, what am I saying? A flagship old Samsung phone like a Galaxy S8 or S7
3:46
Obviously it will work better than this. and it will have a lot of features that this phone will be locking
3:52
just because it was a flagship, so they usually popped in their wireless charging and so on So you might have a better experience with an old flagship rather than this but like I mentioned obviously old flagships will not have any kind of warranty
4:08
So if you're worried that your device might break and you really want to have that warranty, that will not be an option for you
4:15
So there we go. So let's progress with this one now. So right of the bat, we're looking at 6.5-inch display
4:23
This is a 720 by 1,600. resolution. So it is what you would expect from a budget device. Now it is running an iPS LCD
4:35
display and surprisingly it is actually running it at 90 hertz which is higher than I would have
4:41
expected it to be. So that's actually a decent positive and also I'll mention this right now
4:46
something that you will not expect from my old flagship devices like I mentioned before
4:52
Samsung's. They did not push high refresh rates back in a day
4:55
so you will not be expecting any kind of higher refresh rate from like old
5:00
flagships here we get a little bit of a higher one though sometimes with budget
5:07
devices I don't know if that will be a good thing considering phones cannot the budget
5:11
phones might not be able to push this kind of refresh rate most of the time so I guess
5:17
I'll find out once I set up the device if this is kind of like lagging or not now
5:22
outside of that we are looking at 81.6% screen to body ratio with 270 pixels per inch
5:29
It's like I mentioned, more of the typical budget device display. And moving on to the actual performance right here once we can see it
5:40
It is by default running the 90 hertz refresh rate. So that is actually really nice
5:44
Sometimes phones do tend to turn that off by default, which is kind of weird
5:49
You paid for a phone that has, for instance, higher refresh rate display, but yet the manufacturer
5:53
by default turns it off and you have to go into the settings and it on. Here we have it on by default so that's nice. And just flipping through the
6:02
pages, settings, looking through the pages, the display looks well or decent
6:10
something like nothing really weird popping out like a super budget display with
6:15
smearing and stuff like that, ghosting problems so this is looking fairly good. And
6:21
also the performance at these opening and closing really smooth, surprisingly smooth
6:25
So now let's move over to the cameras. Let's flip it over and you can see a triple camera setup
6:32
Now, truth be told, we're only looking at one camera. We have the 13 megapixel main sensor
6:41
It's not really described if it's a wide, ultra-weight or anything. I'm assuming it is going to be a wide sensor with a PDAF focusing mode
6:51
Now, the two additional cameras below that are the 2 megapixel macs
6:55
and 2 megapixel depth. Now, in normal circumstances, I would most certainly trash these cameras beyond belief
7:04
but when the main sensor is only at 13 megapixels, which is already low even for a budget device
7:11
those cameras might have some validity here because 13 megapixel probably will not capture a better macro
7:20
than the dedicated macro lens, even though it is only at 2 megapixels
7:23
when you're looking at something like a 30 megapixel sensor, then you can do it two times zoom
7:29
and capture a much better close-up shot of a subject, like what you would consider a macro shot
7:37
over the actual dedicated macro. And that obviously becomes more apparent the higher the megapixel count is on the camera, like 50, 100
7:47
You obviously can just zoom in closer and get a much closer image
7:52
For instance, like a plant, you can really get in there with a zoom instead of having your phone really close up Now let just kind of show you what we working here with So photo mode I going to just capture the typical photo and also the macro
8:11
just so you can kind of see it. This is the normal one
8:19
And this is going to be the macro. Can you just maybe capture this
8:26
gravel, whatever you want to call it. Okay, this looks like it's close enough
8:38
If I go any closer, I think it becomes blurry. Or I don't think I know it becomes blurry
8:43
There we go. That's a macro right here. It is a little bit on a dimmer side, though I guess I might have been blacking a little bit of the light
8:53
and here is just the normal 13 megapixel white shot and as you can see
9:00
honestly the difference between the macro is you can get closer up in here
9:06
but in terms of quality okay the macro just has a tiny bit more quality
9:15
though it's not by much now I think usually I would probably consider this to be
9:23
an unfair comparison, but honestly at this point, Huawei Mate 20 Pro
9:29
which is what I use still as my main driver, such as a way of life in a third world country
9:39
I will consider this to be a fair comparison because the prices are roughly the same at this point
9:44
You can buy this phone used for basically the same price. So I'm going to go into more
9:50
Normal photo mode obviously will be significantly better, just kind of... So here is the typical normal shot as a comparison
10:08
So in terms of colors it's more accurate, it's better exposed. Overall it just looks better. And then in terms of macro
10:21
here I don't have just macro, what they call, I guess, super macro. I'm not sure what's so super about it, but whatever. So here, I want to kind of like
10:30
deal with this because I can get actually way closer with this sensor than I could with the other
10:38
one. So there we go. This is the macro shot and you can kind of see the difference right here
10:47
especially when it comes down to quality. This is just not comparable. So performance-wise
10:53
And I think the Huawei would also be a more powerful device
10:58
The display right there looks nicer because it's an OLED or Amolid, one of those two
11:05
It won't have a high refresh rate but obviously everything else and that phone will be better
11:11
So, continuing with this one specifically, you already seen the camera performance
11:18
It's nothing staggering here. Then we have a couple versions in terms of storage capacity
11:25
So we have a 32 and 64. And depending which one you go for you will also have two different RAM options
11:32
So 32 comes with only 3 gigs of RAM which I would consider to be on a lower side
11:37
I would probably recommend going for the higher model just because it comes with 64 gigs of storage
11:44
and additionally 4 gigs of RAM. Now in here I believe we can most likely expand the storage
11:50
past the 6432 but what you can never expand is the RAM that the device comes with Yeah we can expand the storage So that why I recommend going for the higher model just because if you planning to keep this phone around for maybe over a year
12:11
you might really start to feel the 3 gigabytes of RAM as a real hinder to whatever you're trying to do
12:19
So that's, I recommend you to go for the higher because of that. And finishing this off
12:25
couple features 5,000 million power battery built into in here or a little bit over 5,000, 550
12:33
same mounted fingerprint sensor on a power key and basically doubles as a power and a fingerprint
12:39
Type C has a charging which in certain budget phones at this
12:45
this might be a feature because some of them do still include
12:50
micro USB for some stupid reason so it's nice that they decided to include an actual USBC
12:58
And it's about all I can say about this device. Not much more to, we say it is a relatively bare-bone device
13:08
including just like the bare minimum as you would expect from a budget device
13:13
Though, like I mentioned, one thing that was surprising was the higher refraiserate of the display at 90 Hz
13:20
Now, at the end of the day, like I was saying before, most likely
13:25
a older flagship device will be more powerful and probably even last longer in
13:34
terms of how usable it is. I'm not saying if it breaks or anything like that. I'm just
13:38
assuming if both of them work flawlessly then flagships usually have more
13:44
power that can also just last longer in terms of like comfortable use it where your
13:49
apps aren't loading for half a minute or the device isn't lagging. So in
13:55
That's kind of my overview here. This phone also is missing things like a 5G connectivity
14:02
If you're looking for that, obviously this phone does not have it at all. So the only kind of like newer feature that you get over, for instance, older flagship devices
14:13
or even like, I don't know, maybe last year's budget models or even Midrangers
14:22
which probably at this point would also come at the same price. likely are still sold, so they will have also a warranty
14:29
You're getting just a higher refresh rate display. And that's about all you get extra on this phone
14:37
So there we go. Now at the end of the day, the choice is yours if you like this phone
14:41
If the performance for you is enough, and I don't know, maybe you're expecting to change it
14:47
or maybe you just want a cheap phone for the sake of not really caring if it breaks
14:52
or anything like that. seems to work well so I probably would consider this to be the most important factor of the phone
15:01
works well the display looks okay and it has a high refresh rate in the display so that's also really
15:07
kind of nice but anyway that being said the phone comes at around about 200
15:13
so it is on a higher side of budget devices kind of leaning closer towards like mid-range
15:23
So keep that in mind. But still, for the price, I feel like this phone is fairly competitively priced
15:32
It offers a decent amount of performance from just like scrolling through it
15:36
It didn't lag or anything. It has a high refresh rate display. So I would say just for what we get here, it is fairly priced
15:46
So that being said, if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe
