Welcome
0:02
A phone is a Xiaomi Me10 Pro. And today I will show you an unboxing along with a brief overview of this device
0:16
So starting off, this is the phone and the box that it comes in
0:20
Now one thing that I found funny is the sticker right here, so it comes with Google Apps
0:25
because you know Huawei does not, so they need to specify so you're not
0:29
off. So obviously the box looks fairly premium. As you can see it is fairly
0:38
chunky. So yeah, now nothing in here as you can clearly see and inside once you
0:46
pop it open you will have this little note here so designed by
0:49
Xiaomi. From there we can take that out and we do have in the phone. Now I did
0:56
already set it up so we don't have to. I'm going to place it to the side for now and see what else we got
1:05
So we do have a charger obviously, or maybe not obviously, because there are other companies
1:10
that don't include their chargers anymore. So it's nice that we have one right here
1:17
And then we got a cable, so this is a Type A to Type C, as you can see
1:23
And let's just take out the charger. we go and this is going to be a 33 watt charger as you can see right over
1:38
here so you can place it to the side here and that's all we get in the box
1:45
I'm gonna place this in here this and set to the side now see what we got in here
1:53
now see what we got in here So we do have the semi-check tool
2:03
We do actually have a... Nice. So we do have a type C to a headphone jack
2:12
So I assume this doesn't come with a headphone jack, which is a bit of a shame. But the inclusion of this kind of makes up for it a bit
2:19
And then we get trash. And we also have a case. Now this looks like a really nice case
2:27
kind of like the design of it. I do like the frosted finishes on the cases and this
2:34
is really nice that they did it on here. It prevents you from having actual like fingerprints on the case as well and also if you have a fingerprint on the phone itself
2:41
the frosted finish will cover it up and basically make it invisible. And yeah
2:49
that's basically all we get here. So just close that. You can set it to the side and
2:56
and so there's the case and let's pop open the phone now before I do I have a couple
3:08
info on here so as you can see it has a 108 megapixel camera that's the
3:14
main sensor then we also have a 144 Hz display with 6.67 inch display
3:20
Snobdragon 865 and 5,000 a battery with a 30 3 watts charger so just pop it open
3:34
throw that this side and there's the phone itself now I like I said I already did set it up
3:39
I'm gonna quickly also change the wallpaper so it is something a little bit brighter clear
3:48
let's go to see what we got here Set both, there we go. So change the digits so it's a little bit brighter and a little bit more visible
4:05
Display is a little bit more visible so you can see where are the edges of it
4:11
So there's the phone. Now getting to the specifications of it, it has like I said the 6.67 inch display. That's a 1080p by 2400 display, which will be
4:26
put it at 395 pixels per inch, so fairly nice display, although it's kind of the standard in 2020
4:34
And honestly, I think that's how it should stay. The 1080p resolution is basically good enough for basically every device I would say
4:42
but this size and nothing higher is needed in my opinion, so this is far good enough
4:50
Now, it's only an LCD IPS and that is a little bit of a shame
4:59
And also, apart from that, it does supposedly boast a HDR resolution, or not resolution
5:07
HDR capability. So it's HDR 10 plus certified. Although it only goes to max 650 nits
5:15
so I'm not really sure how is HDR 10 plus. I believe you need to have at least 1,000
5:23
But yeah Now in terms of screen to a body ratio this comes at 85 And honestly it looks a little bit better than that
5:36
Approaches, in my opinion, a little bit more to like 90. But so, you do have a tiny bit of a chin at the bottom, as you can see right here
5:45
And that is probably one of the bigger counts of percentage that is missing from the 90%
5:53
But still, it looks really nice, though I would say I am missing a little bit of a rounded
5:58
edges on the screen, and that would make the device so much better, in my opinion
6:05
Now, also like we've seen on the foil, it does have a 144 hertz refresh rate
6:14
Sadly, I won't be able to show it off here. I believe it's already enabled by default
6:20
I'm going to quickly check it, and you can see the wobble of it. the phone due to the camera. So like I said, I don't think you, like I say, the refresh rate is
6:33
enabled I believe but you want to be able to see it. Lost my train of toss there. And yeah
6:39
it is enabled. Now the reason why you won't be able to see it is because the camera is recording
6:44
at only 60 frames and anything higher than that is just lost. But if you have the phone
6:50
you can enable it and see it. Also, you can see it right here on this kind of images. So it does give us a really nice, a nice kind of animation of how it differs
7:03
So 60, you can see the ball kind of like skip around and it looks not very pleasing
7:10
Then 90 is a bit smoother and then 144 is super smooth
7:16
Now these animations are super exaggerated, it's not really how much it will differ
7:23
This is, I believe, just to show you the differences and it does make a big difference
7:29
So it's nice that it's that's 404, so I'm just gonna keep it at that
7:34
Although one thing that I do see which is a bit of a downside and which I believe is actually also visible on the camera
7:41
is a little bit of a trailing so the display isn't necessarily Keeping up with the super high refresh rate and it does kind of like simmer around the apps if you pay attention
7:51
they do kind of like leave a trace after them and this is just because I believe
7:58
it's like cheaper display just so they could actually have it or maybe just
8:02
overclock to 144 which the display doesn't really like too much that's why
8:06
it's looking like this but nonetheless that is what it is it is the device this
8:13
device comes out like six hundred dollars so honestly I'm not complaining at
8:18
144 Hertz for six hundred dollars with the specification that it has it is fairly good device
8:24
And the little bit of a downside of this display is far enough
8:28
or far, like, shadowed by all the positives of it. So moving on further with it
8:37
on the front here, we got a Gorilla Glass 5, along with the back. Also, Gorilla Glass 5 and Aluminium Frame
8:43
So you can see this is glass. It's also looked like it has two tones to it
8:49
along with fingerprints. Now one thing that I found out this back it does catch
8:55
a catch fingerprints in a way as can see these kind of discoloration but they're
9:00
just massive paint remove as I have here a cloth. Now I am pressing this
9:09
hard to try to clear it and as can see it still there like whatever is here
9:15
doesn't want to go away. So this is an absolute nightmare to actually clean this off and I'm not really sure why
9:31
I have never seen a display that hard to clean. Probably if you have some kind of solution on the back of it it will go a little bit easier
9:39
but without it it's almost impossible. So moving on to actual back of it where we had the cameras, the bump of it for the cameras
9:49
This is just absolutely massive. This thing almost allows you to grab the phone by it, as you can see
9:56
This is huge bump. But it houses one of the biggest sensors that I have seen recently, which is the 108 megapixel
10:07
wide sensor. I believe there's like one or two other phones that have it
10:11
Might be wrong though. At least that's one or two phones that have came across my desk
10:17
It also has a 30 megapixel ultra wide and 5 megapixel macro
10:24
So yeah, with all that it shoots at 8K 30 frames. And you heard that correctly, it shoots at 8K
10:33
Also it shoots up 4K obviously, 30 and 60 and 1080p, 30, 60 and 120 in slow motion
10:42
Now I personally would prefer to have a smaller bump and just not shoot at the 8K
10:46
just will consume so much storage for what it worth that there not much I could view it on I don even have a 4K TV So 8K to me just kind of useless and the amount of stores that it takes is also just ridiculous And yeah it nice that it here
11:08
although I don't really see a use for it myself. Now as you also can see, it looks like we have almost five
11:16
lenses here but what it is is one is just a complete fake
11:21
The other one is a flash, and then we actually have three sensors. This is the second or third time around what I'm seeing, this kind of trash almost
11:32
but that's the way I would explain it. It makes you think that there is more lenses in here, like you're getting better deal or something
11:39
Well, this is just a complete fake, and it's not even looking like a lens, it's just a circle that fills up the space
11:47
It's nothing more. There's nothing here on this, the one that I'm covering
11:51
covering right now. So moving to the front, we do have a cutout
11:58
As you can clearly see it right here. And that houses a 20 megapixel wide sensor, that shoots at 1080p
12:04
30 or slow motion at 720 with 120 frames per second. Now, well, all the specific designs are all nice and dandy
12:16
It's better always to capture a couple photos just so you can see how it actually looks like
12:21
I will take this little cloth right here and do swipe it up, just so it's completely clean
12:29
as you can see, so there is no doubt in the photos
12:35
And by default it goes to photo obviously. I can already see a nice bouquet effect
12:48
So now putting that in the camera, This is the shot that it captured
12:56
And it can clue it's a nice shot. For actually $600 of a device that offers already so much
13:06
The cameras are already really good. This photo already kind of exceeded my expectations
13:13
It is fairly detailed, high resolution, along with a fairly decent bouquet effect
13:19
Now also let's go to other lenses here so the 108 megapixel the photo actually wasn't a
13:30
108 megapixels so let's see what it captures with the huge sensor that it
13:36
has now it does look like I have to get it further away okay so this is the
13:50
108 megapixels. And I assume we can get super close into it. Yep, so the
14:02
resolution here is almost insane. It does lose some detail in it. As you can see, it's a
14:09
little bit blurry here, but it still exceeds a lot of, well, a lot of macro lenses even. So
14:19
So this is really nice, I would say. Specifically, I can get so close and still keep as much detail
14:26
If you want to zoom out, it will do even better. So you can clearly see that this is looking really nice
14:34
Now it does lose a little bit detail in the edges right here. As you can see, it does become a little bit blurry
14:41
So that's one thing here. And it does also, it does also
14:48
It does also have a macro lens, so I'm going to check it out
14:53
If I can actually find it. There we go. Macro. Now a macro is only at 5 megapixels, so we'll see if it does a better job than the 108 megapixel sensor
15:18
So right off the bat it doesn't do as good of a job
15:31
Number one, this is as close as you can get, and number two, it's already blurry. So if you want to get a close-up shot, just whip out your 108 megapixels, capture as far
15:43
back as you need to before it starts like blurring out. and you will get a better macro shot than this is
15:51
And just as a comparison here. So this is how it looks like if I go quickly to..
15:58
208 megapixels. This is the same area. So, massive difference, I would say
16:08
Way better. So, macro here is useless. So we have two sensors instead of three
16:18
And now moving on to other things like processor This phone comes with a snapdragon 865 so fairly good not the best one you can get at the moment but still I can complain for and for this is I would say really good processor
16:39
It's a flagship processor just a little bit older. It does also have a couple variants, so you have 128 gigabytes or 256 gigabytes store
16:50
Both come with a 8 gigabyte RAM on a UFS 3.1 storage
16:55
So again, nice storage here, you're going to be getting really decent speeds in terms of read and rights
17:01
Only rifle that I would say by iPhones which come with an MVME storage, which is on a whole new level
17:08
And furthermore, this phone has a 5,000 Mali-ampar battery with a, like we already seen, a fairly nice 33-watt charger
17:18
Unfortunately, there is no wire. less charging so we do have to lose that and yeah not much more to say I
17:27
does have a side-mounted fingerprint if I like it so you can see it right here
17:32
fingerprint also have volume record and nothing on left side on the top we do have
17:39
an IR sensor right here so you can use the phone as a remote control if you
17:43
wanted to add things like AC TV and stuff like that and just control them
17:48
with your phone itself really nice along with a microphone and Not really sure what that is here
17:57
Looks just like a hole but not really sure. Then at the bottom we have a Type C and speaker microphone and the SIM tray and that's it
18:07
At the back we already seen it. Just subtle branding, not so subtle camera bump and the front
18:15
Basically glass. And the phone comes with three different color variants. We have cosmic black which is not the one that I have here, I believe
18:30
It was also lunar silver, my bad. So this is lunar silver, there's also cosmic black and also aura blue
18:38
And yeah, now the last thing that I'll do is just pop the case on just so you can see how it looks like
18:45
There we go. So it's on here. And as can see, the case looks fairly nice
18:55
I know it would look better without the sticker here, but kind of like the
18:59
show me branding here on the casing. Looks really nice along with the cutout
19:04
I do like the design of it. It looks really nice and premium
19:09
Then also something that I really like, apart from the case itself, is the fact that they
19:13
didn't do these obnoxiously here. huge edges here. A lot of the cases that come with the devices include these huge kind of
19:20
bumps for the screen so when you place it on the display, your phone if you tend to do that
19:25
it will not scratch it up. This has just sufficient enough bump that isn't annoying and
19:31
super intrusive as other ones that it basically gets in your way of using the device
19:36
but it still protects the device and you can place it on the screen and it won't scratch up
19:41
because it just creates that much, what is like a millimeter or two
19:45
of space so far enough to protect your device and other than that it's a nice case and
19:53
also a nice device and that being said I'll conclude the video so the device here is really nice
20:02
it does I well do everything that it's supposed to do it has a super nice
20:08
refresh rate resolution is good the color of this display is nice although I'd really like to see an all-let
20:15
display or Amolid something along those lines instead of an LCD it does have a
20:21
really good storage the price is super compelling along with a fairly good
20:25
battery life and an overly generally good specifications not the only thing
20:31
that I would kind of say is the camera at least one of them is completely
20:35
useless and just there for the people that don't know what they're looking
20:39
for and think that more cameras equals better not the phone here the only good
20:45
camera here I would say as the ultra wide and the 108 megapixel wide the macro
20:50
is just completely useless to me personally also the 8k capability as of
20:57
recording is just kind of misses the mark I don't really see a purpose for it I bet
21:01
some people will but I just believe there will be a lot of thing like detail
21:08
lost in it and apart from that it will take way too much space on your device to
21:14
be even worth it. That is my personal opinion. And the lack of T-charging is also a little
21:24
bit of a bummer for something that is basically a flagship device. But other than that
21:30
everything is outstanding in this device. So I'd recommend this phone if you're looking for one
21:35
It is really good phone. And that being said, if you found this very helpful, don't forget
21:40
to have a like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
