Welcome and follow me on Apo A9 from 2020 and today I'll show a couple tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:11
So we're going to begin with two that are also here with recent apps
0:17
And when you top on recent you'll have these three bars right here. And when you tap on them, the two options, lack, which will allow you to lock an app like so
0:26
and what this will do is when you close it the app stays still open so you can
0:34
actually add for instance YouTube and stuff like that and then when you basically
0:40
clear recent apps which if there will be more of them that would be probably a bit
0:45
better as an example let's just open up a few others so so and now
0:56
I go here, go recent, you can see that settings continues to stay open
1:02
So that's basically what locking an app will allow you to do. Also, probably work great with music
1:09
For instance, you're clearing recent apps and you don't want to clear or kill your music from playing
1:15
So this will basically help you. And then the other thing that you can find here is split screen
1:23
and that is probably best utilized with YouTube so on your launch YouTube for instance right here
1:31
just press on that now you can actually mute it so there's no sound and play whatever
1:38
now if you go to recent top here and go into split screen it will go like this to split screen
1:44
and then you have your all the apps that you have on the phone which you can open any other app from here
1:50
like so and let me just play this stupid app right now
1:58
Okay, so you can see that the video is playing while you can do other things on the phone
2:06
So you can navigate into basically anywhere. You can also close, normally I think it continues to play no matter what
2:15
So go like this while I'll continue to use your device and the video will be still playing Now you can hear it because for copyright reasons but you will see that once I actually go back to it Let me just open up for instance web browser like so You can see that it still plays and I don need to resume it
2:35
So if you like listening music through YouTube, you don't feel like paying their subscription for something that should be enabled by the get-go for nothing to pay, then this is a good way around it
2:48
As you can see you can continue to use your internet browser and stuff like that
2:52
well your music would be continuing playing in the background now if you want to close it you can either go right here to
3:04
back to it you can tap on the x and it will close the split screen and then you can just
3:11
quit it like so so a nice feature if you like to multitask on your device
3:18
Now moving on we're going to go into the animation speed which will allow you to
3:22
change the animation speed of the entire device so how quick the apps open
3:28
how long the animation of apps opening is actually going for and to do it we would go into the settings and then home screen and the wallpaper right here
3:38
and up startup and closing animation speed. Now by default I think it is set too fast so I changing it to standard of
3:48
slow will basically reduce the speed of it, or increase, yeah, reduce the speed
3:53
So it would actually be slower than it is normally as you can kind of see right now
3:58
But there is also another way you can modify this by going into up our phone
4:05
And then let's find build number. So see wherever it is. Now I'm not exactly sure it looks like it's a stupid
4:18
differently named here. Okay, so there we go. So you tap on version seven times and then after a seven you will have this, you are now a developer
4:33
And you can then go back and let's try to find there, wherever they hit the developer options
4:48
I think it going to be quicker So it an additional settings and the developer option so I was looking for it correctly Okay
5:03
So from here you can go down, a little bit past halfway
5:06
Probably past it. Oh, there is. You will have window animation zoom, transition, animation
5:15
animation scale and animation duration scale. Now each one of those corresponds to a different kind of animation
5:20
For instance, if you top on the first one, I believe it's this little window panel that just slid up
5:25
and set it to times 10 to test it. You can see that it's now way slower
5:31
But you can also set it to off, and now you can see that there is no animation whatsoever
5:38
So it's instant. Now, to have the best of both worlds, I would advise to set it to probably half speed
5:44
so 0.5 and now it will be faster than any option on the device that you have in normal settings
5:54
while still reducing the speed significantly. So moving on we're going to go into the home screen mode which will allow you to create an app drawer
6:07
if you're not a fan of what kind of an iOS look with all the apps on your home screen
6:12
and just creating folders to hide them. So you'd go again to the settings
6:16
and from here again a home screen. And at the top you will find home screen mode
6:23
and you have the two different modes. So drawer mode and the standard mode
6:31
So you can see you think it actually was in the drawer mode, yeah. So you pull it up
6:36
But you'd actually have to remove the apps that are right here as well if you want to keep it clean
6:41
But you have the option to change it to whatever you like. Now moving on, the last thing that I want to show is more of a thing that will help your device
6:51
rather than the user. And it's the automatic power on and off
6:56
And it's advised to shut off your device about once a week
7:00
So the device can clean or clear out its cache and all the files that accumulated over the week, basically
7:08
That will also improve the devices performance performance and the battery longevity So it a fairly nice feature to just enable set it up and forget it And set it up somewhere let say at night it doesn need to
7:23
it just needs to power on and off. There is no need to keep it consistently off, assuming you don't want that
7:31
And to set it up, we would go into additional settings. So right here
7:36
And then automatic on off. and you enable both of them and tap on it
7:42
repeat and choose for instance a single day of the week that he wanted to turn off
7:49
and then the same week that he wanted to turn back on so this is to turn on
7:55
let's see now for instance we can set it to Saturday only
8:02
and set it to PM and around for instance 11 let's put it 1130
8:16
That's when it turns on. Now, the same thing, but for turning off
8:23
So this would be time before. So we want to set it to, for instance, 11, 29
8:32
Or something like this. Good enough. All right, it used to be 10 minutes apart
8:38
there we go so you can see unfortunately here it forces you to have 10 minutes apart
8:46
and now the device will turn off at 1119 and turn back on at 1130 and that's
8:54
basically all it needs now you could go a little bit more crazy with it for setting
8:58
it up to turn off for the entire night also or improving the battery longevity
9:04
even further if you want to do that but the purpose of this that I the way I have said it it's more for just clearing cash and helping the device perform
9:14
better over time but you can set it up the way you want it as well so it's not really a necessity
9:23
like I have said it but yeah this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that I wanted to share
9:28
and if you found this very helpful don't forget to like subscribe and thanks for watching
