Welcome. In front of me is a Huawei 5 key and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and
0:10
tricks that can do on this device. So we're going to begin with the split screen which will allow
0:14
you to use two different apps at the same time and the best use for it would in my opinion be with
0:20
YouTube when you're trying to listen to music and do other stuff but as you know when you
0:26
close off youtube or switch to a different app um youtube just decides to pause your music unless oh well unless now you want to pay a
0:34
subscription to use uh youtube music or whatever it's called but you don't really need that
0:40
assuming you can just use two apps at the same time and disregard the complete
0:45
subscription for something that well in my opinion shouldn't be even paid for so we get started
0:51
i'm just going to launch youtube like so then close it go into recent
0:56
And you will see this button right here, the two bars basically when you top on it
1:00
It opens up the app and split screen. And the first up that you always open up goes on the top and then the second one on the bottom
1:09
And from here you can also go top on the home to get the access to your home apps
1:13
Choose whatever you want to open. So for instance, I could open Chrome
1:18
No thanks. And let's also open up some video just let me completely mute it
1:26
So there's no sound. And skip add. So you can see the video is playing while I can do stuff here
1:42
So I could search for something. It continues to play as you can see the movement on the camera right there
1:51
If you go home it still continues to play. It closes the bottom up while the top up is still
1:56
open and you can open up something else. Keep in mind that not every app is compatible
2:00
I'm not sure if messages might not be. Nope. Okay, there we go
2:05
So phone closes the split screen completely and just takes basically the whole screen
2:11
So remember that not all the apps are compatible with split screen but the ones that are well work flawlessly and will allow you to just use two different apps at the same time Now moving on we going to go into the option that will allow you to hide the apps
2:29
So if you're not a fan of this kind of iPhone-esque look
2:33
with all the apps smack in the middle of your home screen without any app drawer and organization
2:38
you actually have an option to enable that. So you'll go into the settings, and then home screen
2:44
So right here. Then you should find home screen style. Set to standard
2:50
So you want to choose the drawer. Give it a moment, we'll need to reboot
2:54
And there it is. So now the apps are still on the home screen, but now you can remove them from here
3:00
So just hold like so and remove. I'm sure if I can remove entire folders
3:07
There we go. So you just go around and remove all the ones that you don't want to have on your home screen
3:12
While they are still accessible all in here. So moving on, now we're going to go into additional users, which will allow you to create separate spaces on the device for different users
3:24
So, for instance, you could create a space for your child, which has just a couple games and basically no access to anything else with password protections and stuff like that
3:36
And whatever it's being changed on that space will not be affected to whatever your space looks like
3:42
And to do it, again go into the settings. To just create it for the first time later on, there will be an easier way to access it
3:50
So to create it, I'm going to go into the settings all the way down to users and accounts
3:56
Then you have users right here. Then you have you as an owner and then you can add user, name it, whatever. Add
4:08
And now gives you the option to switch on it. can cancel it
4:15
Hold down and now you'll find additional user icon visible right here which previously was not there
4:23
So you can tap on it. It opens up the list of users that are on the device added
4:29
And you can just tap on a different one. Automatically switches over to it and when you unlock it it basically a new setup and just a completely new experience on the device Unfortunately I have to go through the setup basically
4:53
Now also what you could do is you could set passcode on your space
5:07
while keep this one unprotected if you wish to. So this could be accessed without any protection
5:16
And there we go. So I'll also do one thing. For instance, I'm going to change the wallpaper
5:26
There we go. So whatever I change the wallpaper to right here
5:30
will not be affected on the other user. As you can see there is a different wallpaper
5:38
Now if we switch back to owner, there we go. And unlock it, you can see that the wallpaper is different
5:48
So just a nice way to divide your space or your phone so it doesn't get messed around with
5:58
Now moving on, we're going to go into the hiding passers. option which will allow you to hide a password whenever you're typing it so
6:10
when you have the field to type the password let me just actually open it up the
6:16
easiest way I know how so for instance right here you can see that there's a
6:20
field for password and when you start tapping on it there is always a latest
6:24
letter that have pressed visible so if someone is really content they could just
6:28
look over your shoulder and basically get the entire password being provided in a neat sequence which
6:35
there is an option to actually completely remove that so it's not visible which I really find
6:42
helpful so you'll go again into the settings and from the settings go into the security so security
6:48
and privacy right here and from here let go into more settings uh encryption and credentials and you find show password disable that and now if we go back to the to an area where I can actually type in a password
7:08
you can see that now it's an immediate dot. There is no letter visible whatsoever
7:14
Now there is still visible the one under your finger when you're topping on a letter, but when you're for instance using two thumbs to type it in
7:22
it's fairly quick and it might be a little bit harder to see
7:25
which, for instance, was being pressed first. for a bystandard yeah and the last thing that I wanted to show is just a simple
7:35
change in the setting for a camera by default if you like recording videos
7:42
later you'll see that it's set to where is it videos it's set to I think 1080p by
7:50
at 30 frames so it will at 30 frames it will take up a less space but
7:58
it will be a little bit more choppy so for instance if i move it around it's not as fluid as it could be
8:06
so you could go into the settings go here and change it to for instance right here from 30 to 60
8:13
fds at 1080p and if you go back this should be a whoa almost flip the phone you can hopefully
8:22
can see it how much smoother it is on the camera but it just feels way
8:28
more fluid in the video and whatever you're capturing will look way better now also if you
8:36
prefer to have quality over well the smoothness there's also an option to go into 4k at 30 frames
8:43
now keep in mind that comparing it to what was originally set which is 1080p at 30 frames
8:51
and this will take I think like four or eight times more space so
8:58
the higher quality you get, the more space it will take up
9:03
So just remember that when you're trying to record longer videos. And yeah, this would basically conclude what I wanted to share
9:11
So if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
