Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy M53 and today I'll show you how we can hard

reset this device through recovery mode. Now this process will remove things like a screen lock if you have one that you don't know

So I'm gonna quickly set one up because I don't have one

Okay, so as you can see now I have a pen

Now I'll progress from the lock screen as though I wouldn't know my pen

Rule number one to get started you will need to grab a cable that you can plug into your computer

So mine is already plugged in, as you can probably tell. I might be able to also hear the sound when I connect it

There it was. So once your device is connected you want to start holding power key and volume down

because we cannot really turn off the device without providing a pen pattern or password

So by holding power key and volume down we will force the device into rebooting and

once the screen turns off, or the device basically fully turns off, you'll switch from volume

down to volume up and power key. So light up the screen just so you can see it, power key volume down, you can interact

with the screen just so it stays lit up. There we go, it turned off, let's switch to volume up

Now once you see the Samsung Galaxy logo you can let go of the keys and this will then

boot us into recovery mode. You can now also unplug the device because it's not needed anymore, the cable, and in

this mode you'll need to navigate using volume keys in order to select wipe data factory

reset and then confirm it with power key. Select factory data reset and give a message at the bottom, last one should be data wipe complete

At which point reboot system now will be selected by default so press power key once again

This will initiate a reboot of the device and continue the process in the background

This device will take a little bit longer than you might be used to, until it boots

up, that's completely fine. Once the factory reset has been fully finished we will be presented with Android setup screen
