Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy A13 and today I'll show you how you can boot
0:13
this device into safe mode. So to get started, let's pull down our notification panel, expand it and click on this power key
0:21
right here. This will give us power options right here. And what you want to do is hold power off
0:30
When you hold it, it changes into safe mode as you can see
0:34
With a message below that, tap again to restart your phone and safe mode
0:37
Downloaded apps will be temporarily disabled to help you troubleshoot your phone
0:42
So let's confirm that by tapping on that again. And while the device is rebooting, I'm going to quickly go into a little bit more in depth
0:49
into the safe mode. So this mode is used for troubleshooting your device, meaning if you are having, experiencing
0:56
some kind of problems with your device right now, it's malfunctioning, malfunctioning
1:02
not allowing you to do something or just overall doing something that it's not supposed to
1:08
you can boot it into safe mode and hopefully whatever problem you had with it will be resolved
1:14
in this mode. So you can try to solve your problem when the device is actually functioning as it's
1:19
supposed to. As an example, if you find, install some kind of application, like a really malicious one
1:25
where it's just messing up with your system, crushing it and you just cannot turn on your
1:30
device or cannot really interact with it correctly, boot it into safe mode and that app cannot
1:36
run anymore, so it cannot cause you any problems. Now while in safe mode, you will see that widgets, as an example, do not work
1:47
And let's see if there's any other applications. Yep, Facebook does not work in this mode, so luckily, thank God, it can't spy on you
1:55
in this mode. And any kind of other application that you have installed yourself will be basically
2:01
not allowed to run, either by itself or you won't be able to turn it on either
2:06
And the way you can distinguish which app can run and which one cannot, if you look
2:13
at, as an example, Facebook, normally Facebook has this blue color to it, right
2:18
But you can clearly see that this one is just grayish. So any app that cannot run will basically look gray like this
2:25
So there we go. And once you're done with your safe mode and you want to go back to the normal one, let's
2:32
go back to our notifications, select our power key, and this time around, all you need to
2:36
do is select restart. Once the device boots back up, it will go back to normal mode
2:42
So if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
