Welcome. In front of me is a
0:01
Xiaomi PocoX6 and today I'll go over unboxing along with a quick look at the device itself
0:10
Anyway, I'll just get straight into it. So this is a brand new device released from Xiaomi which by the looks of it it's basically
0:19
a new version of F5 that they used to have. At least in terms of specs and the price I would say it rivals that all
0:30
of that device. I would consider it as a substitution for it
0:35
So, talking about the price, this device comes at about $280, give or take
0:41
or euros, so about $290. It is in a mid-range category, at least what I would consider as mid-range
0:49
And for that price, we do get a pretty decent device. Outside of just having the device
0:55
Xiaomi does have this nice tendency to actually give us things like
0:59
case for the device. A phone with a screen protector pre-applied to it
1:08
As you can kind of see it. There's a little cutout around the camera, so there's a screen protector already applied
1:14
Nice. And in addition to that, Samsung, take notes. We get a 67-watt charger
1:21
Now, the reason I'm pointing finger at Samsung is because this garbage company, meaning Samsung
1:26
thinks that selling an $1,800 device without a charger is okay, and also that device being charging capable of only 22 watts
1:36
it's an absolute effing joke. And yes, I bought into that joke
1:42
But to be completely honest, I am disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend that kind of joke
1:48
Anyway, and here we get the charger, and also a type A to type C charging cable
1:54
So there we go. Now booting up the device, let's see how it looks like
2:04
So let's start off with the screen, which you will be able to see just in a moment
2:10
Now this is a 6 inch display running just a little bit over 1080p resolution exactly 12 20 by 2712 pixels So like I said just a little over 1080p It puts it at a pixel density of 446 pixels per inch
2:28
which is pretty good. Actually, even more than good. It also has an Amelette display with 68 billion colors
2:36
120 hertz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision, along with the peak brightness of whopping 1800 nits
2:43
So it can get pretty bright. Additionally, I can also see that the bezels on this device are pretty slim
2:50
and they are exactly at 89.7%, almost about 90%. Now, the pro version of this device has even lower or higher percentage
3:00
It's above 90, and it looks outstanding. But there is not much difference in terms of just between those two devices display-wise
3:07
It's very similar. To the naked eye, you wouldn't actually see a difference
3:13
Anyway, continuing on into the device, Let's flip it over to the cameras and we have something that looks like a triple camera setup
3:21
But usually looks doesn't actually mean it is. So we have a main sensor at 64 megapixel wide sensor with optical limit stabilization and PDAF
3:33
Then below that we have an 8 megapixel ultra wide, 118 degrees field of view
3:38
And we also have what I said looks like. It's a 2 megapixel macro lens
3:43
Now the reason I am completely making fun of it and just considering it a shit camera or sticker camera as it's called
3:49
is because at 2 megapixels, your 64 megapixel wide sensor will capture a higher resolution along with more detailed photos up close
4:00
than the dedicated micro lens that's supposed to be good at doing just that and nothing else
4:06
So if you want to capture a macro photos, just pop your normal white sensor
4:11
which is just the typical one that you use for every photo. put it at a two times zoom
4:16
and voila you have a macro lens that outperforms the dedicated lens that
4:20
comes on this device meaning it's absolutely useless meaning the macro continuing on
4:28
into the internals we have a whopping 5,100 million power battery in this device which is actually surprising because
4:35
it's not a chunky device it's a fairly thin phone relatively light as well and it comes with a 5 million power battery Additionally we have 256 gigabytes of built storage at base minimum
4:51
with 8 gigabytes of RAM, and it can go to 25612 or 50012 gigabytes with 12 gigabytes of RAM
4:59
Now, I would say for people that are looking to save the buck, the base model with 8 gigabytes of RAM and 256 is already a pretty good device
5:08
and taking a look at the tray. Come on. There we go
5:18
We don't have expendable storage unfortunately, so if you will need more than 256 gigs of storage
5:25
either you'll need to use something like this to transfer over the data to an SD card
5:31
and plug it in through the USBC, or just go for the higher-end model
5:36
which is the 512 with 12. gigs of RAM. Unfortunately there is no 512 gigs storage with 8 gigs of RAM so you
5:44
automatically get to upgrade both of those at the same time. Now continuing on with
5:49
the device it is being powered by a Snapdragon 7 Sgen 2 processor meaning it's
5:55
going to be a pretty fast device not a flagship grade but still a fast
6:00
device don't get me wrong and with this kind of processor you should be able to
6:04
play Genschen impact without much of a problem. I am using Genschen and Pact as an example because it is a demanding game
6:12
It does need some power and a device to actually run that kind of game
6:15
So it's a good kind of like a indication of how powerful that device is
6:24
Okay. So, continuing on with this, there's a couple additional things that I didn't mention
6:30
So we do have fingerprint under the display. So we do have a fingerprint sensor, though it's not visible
6:38
it is under the display. We have, obviously, our volume buttons on the side, along with the power button
6:44
At the top, we have a headphone jack, which you might be surprised to see. And additionally
6:48
something that Xiaomi tends to do. We do have an infrared sensor right over here. And what that is
6:54
used for is remote controls You can basically go into the application and come to install with this device and assign your remote controls like for instance for your air conditioning or TV set boxes and all that stuff and use your phone to control all of those with this device And assign your remote controls like for instance for your air conditioning or TV set boxes and all that stuff and use your phone to control all of those with this IR blaster that comes with the device Additionally we have a speaker grill microphone for loud
7:15
calls, and then at the bottom our Type C charging port, another microphone, and another speaker grill
7:20
along with our tray, which you've already seen, that boasts a dual SIM support and then
7:25
nothing else. Now, when it comes on to the build quality of this device, it is plastic
7:29
for the most part, as you've probably already seen. So we have a plastic frame, plastic back
7:36
and a grilla glass victus front. So our displays gorara glass victus
7:41
So it's not necessarily super durable device, but it is a sub-300 device or euros
7:49
So you should tow down your expectations. And for that price, you actually get a really good device
7:54
that has some pretty nice specs for the price that you get to pay
7:58
Now, like I mentioned, I believe at the beginning, this is a what I would consider a substitute to the F5 lineup
8:06
The F5 specifically came with also a Snapdragon 7, I believe was a Gen 1, so this is a 7 as Gen 2
8:16
which would be an upgrade over the predecessor, the F5. And when it comes onto the pro version of this device, the X6 Pro, that device actually comes not with the Snapdragon
8:27
but with a Domencity, if I remember correctly. Let me quickly check just to be absolutely certain
8:40
And yep, it comes with a Domency, 8300 Ultra. And that processor is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
8:49
Now also the price will be about 130 euros more. So if you want an even more powerful device for a little bit more
8:57
that is also a great option. But apart from the processor, they don't differ all that much
9:04
So if you don't need super powerful device, this is already a great phone
9:10
Now, with that being said, hopefully you found this video helpful. And if you did, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for a while
