Welcome, I'm from MUSE Motorola One Vision and today I'll show you how to enable and
0:13
set up the portable hotspot. So to get started we'll need to open up settings app, it's listed right now and from here go
0:22
to network and internet and choose hotspot and feathering. At the top you'll have WiFi hotspot, tap on this and in here number one you can enable
0:33
it from here and you also have other customizations so hotspot name, as you can see right now
0:39
it's set to hard reset, you can change it to whatever you want, just simply remove this
0:43
and type in anything else. You have hide my device, I would not advise on turning this on, this will just hide the
0:52
network name from the list of WiFi's so you would have to then scroll down for instance
0:59
in your WiFi list you will have a button to add manually and you need to type in the name
1:05
of the WiFi and then also add a password to it. So it just removes that convenience of just simply tapping on one that is visible and
1:13
just putting in a password for it. And also you have the security, tap on it, you have the type of security right here
1:20
you can set it to none which allows anybody to connect or you can choose, well, stay with
1:25
the one that it is and just close this. And here you have the password, you can tap on it and by default this is some random generated
1:34
one so you can remove this and type in something that might be easier for you to remember
1:40
With the key, thing to keep in mind is the fact that it needs to have at least eight characters
1:46
As you can see this will be good enough, tap on OK and then you have turn off hotspot automatically
1:51
so if it's not being used it will shut off automatically. Then you also have the AP band, you have two options for it
2:00
If your device can support it I would advise on using the 5GHz, it's gonna be faster and
2:05
overall more stable and better while the 2.4 is basically accessible by any device
2:13
If your device doesn't see your network right now when it's at 5GHz you will need to go
2:18
back and drop it to 2.4, it means just that your device is not supporting it, it might
2:24
be just an older device but majority of the newer devices already support the 5GHz one
2:31
And once this is all set simply tap on the checkmark right here and it's set
2:36
And it looks like it also creates a nice pattern, this QR code that someone can scan
2:49
and without providing any information you can just use the camera and automatically
2:53
connect to it. But yeah, that is how you set that up
2:59
And once you set it up and enable it, it will create a shortcut as you've just seen right
3:05
here and now you can simply toggle it on and off from here
