Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy M11 and today I'll show you how to transfer
0:11
files from your device to a SD card and vice versa. So to get started we will need to open up the files app, which looks like it's in a
0:20
Samsung folder, right over here, my file. And as you can see there are two different storages, so we have the internal storage
0:28
which is the one of the device and then the SD card
0:32
And let's start off by going into the internal and from here I'm going to quickly look if
0:37
my photos are in here and it looks like they are. So briefly, DCIM folder will contain photos, videos that you have captured with the device itself
0:47
Downloads folder will contain anything that you have downloaded either to your web browser, email, stuff like that, it all gets saved into the downloads folder
0:54
Then you have music, movies, android alarms, podcasts, ringtones and Samsung, those folders
1:00
are usually empty in terms of containing anything that you have put on there yourself
1:08
So yeah, now there are sometimes apps that will save into those folders or they will
1:14
also create their own, so you also might see way more folders in here than I have
1:21
And lastly we have the pictures folder which usually contains screenshots. So once you find your files, which for me they are in the DCIM camera folder for photos
1:33
you want to select them and you can either select the files individually by just holding
1:37
it like so and then tapping on additional ones or if you want all of them you can select
1:43
the entire folder instead. If you want just like one or two files, well then just select them like so
1:52
Whichever way you do it, it's completely up to you, convenience is the key here
1:56
Whichever way feels more convenient to you, that's the way you should do it
2:01
And once you have it selected, tap on the three dots and... actually not three dots
2:05
where is it? On the bottom, we have move and copy. So again, select whichever option you want
2:12
Move option will completely remove the selected files from where they are right now and move
2:16
them to the new location of your choice, while copy will create additional sets of
2:21
these files and keep the original ones where they are right now and then add the new ones
2:28
to the location that you specify. So I'm gonna go with move and from here, once you've chosen it, you want to basically back
2:37
out and navigate to the location that you want to move those files to
2:41
So I just want to go into the SD card. So let's go to the SD right here and let's just drop it right over here
2:51
As you can see, there is no files in here, we're right now in the SD card
2:55
So move here and there we go. You can see there are the two new photos on the bottom
3:03
So that's basically how you remove these files. And if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
