In front of me is a Samsung Galaxy M30s and today I will show you how to transfer files
0:10
from the SD card to the phone or vice versa. So to get started you want to open up your file app, which will be in the Samsung folder
0:18
right here. And it's called My File. And from here you will want to find wherever your content that you wish to move is located
0:28
So because I don't actually have anything I'm going to capture a couple of photos just
0:32
so I have something as an example. Just spam the shutter button
0:36
It will actually take pictures quicker. That would be nice. There we go. OK
0:42
So now let's go back to the My Files right here. And let's see
0:47
So the general thing is any kind of photos, videos that have been captured with the device
0:52
itself will always be located under the DCIM folder. Now it also saves them in the SD card
1:02
So if you go in here you will also have the DCIM and it looks like that's where my photos
1:07
are located at. And as you've also seen there is in the other, on the internal storage on the DCIM it also
1:16
contains screenshots. But because this one was captured I think before the SD card was inserted it saved it
1:22
to the phone itself. So photos, videos, screenshots, DCIM folder. Downloads will have anything that you have downloaded
1:31
So that includes any files from a web browser, email, stuff like that
1:36
Music, movies, stuff like that are usually placed there by the user
1:41
And that's about it. Everything else is probably known where it is
1:49
So find whatever it is that you wish to move. Which like I said I'm going to use the photos right here
1:57
And all you really need to do is just hold them. They get selected as you've just seen
2:01
And you can tap on additional ones to add them. Now if you have an entire folder full of photos you don't actually have to select all of them
2:09
You can either tap on here to select all. You can also go back for instance to the folder itself and select the folder
2:16
And from here once you have selected whatever it is that you want to you have two options
2:21
You can either move it or copy it. Each option respectable. Move will basically remove it from where it is right now and move it to the new location
2:29
While copy will just create additional set of the same files in a new location while
2:34
keeping the old ones where they are right now. So I'm going to choose move as an example like so
2:41
And then you want to navigate to where you want to move. So let's just go to the main folder
2:46
And I'm going to move it to the internal storage right here
2:51
So it's along with the other screenshots. So you can place it right here and just tap on move here
2:58
If you want you can also for instance go into the folder that you want to move it to or
3:02
just the general one. You can also create a new folder. So create a folder like so
3:08
Name it whatever. Create it. You can see that there it is and then you can navigate into it and move it right here
3:15
Because I'm moving an entire folder it will already have a name
3:19
As you can see camera. And when I tap on it it has the three photos that I have taken
3:26
And if I go back to the SD card you will also see that now this place is empty and has no photos
3:34
So that is how you would move any kind of file. And if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
