Welcome and for me is a Samsung Galaxy A20e and today I'll show you how to
0:10
transfer photos videos or any kind of other file from the device to SD card or
0:15
vice versa. So to get started you want to open up the file manager and it will be
0:22
located under the Samsung folder by default. So my files right here and then
0:27
you should see both of your storages. So the internal is just what is on the
0:31
device itself and SD card is the SD card that you have put in. And let me just
0:38
check something. Okay so there's no option to hide it. Okay so from here you
0:44
want to choose wherever your photos are located. Now for me I believe it's gonna
0:49
be on the internal storage but I'm gonna check additionally. Yes okay so as wrong
0:54
So my photos are actually on the SD card. It looks like Samsung switches on
1:00
basically where the photos are saved immediately when it detects SD card. So
1:05
there will be located right here and there they are. So I just took like three
1:10
random photos of the screen that is behind just so I have something to move
1:15
And now just a brief overview. If you're trying to transfer photos or videos that
1:20
you have captured with the device itself there will be located always on the DCIM folder like this one right here. And like I said if you had a SD card
1:29
previously in the device when you are capturing and then there will be on the SD card. If you didn't there will be on the internal storage right here. But
1:37
because I did it like I said with the SD card they're there are saved now on the
1:41
SD card. So that's basically where you would find the photos and videos
1:46
Downloads folder will have anything that have downloaded using browser or emails
1:52
Everything there should be just like random. So you can have photos, videos
1:57
documents, media, music, everything. It's basically everything you have downloaded. Then pictures will have screenshots and probably like photos that you have
2:07
synced with from the computer stuff like that. And anything else is just whatever
2:11
you have placed it in specific folders. Because not really much is safe to
2:16
movies and music unless you're putting it there yourself. So now that you know
2:22
where everything should be located you want to find your media that you want to
2:27
transfer. And like I said for me it's gonna be the three photos. So let's go
2:30
there and all you need to do is just hold it and it gets selected and then
2:34
you can tap on additional ones to select more. Now if you have a folder full of
2:39
photos and you don't really want to select each individually you can actually go back to the folder itself like I have right here the camera where
2:45
the three photos are located. And I can select the entire folder right here and
2:50
basically do the same thing. So I have again the move and copy option as though
2:54
I would have with just the single files itself. So once I have selected what I
2:59
want to transfer all I need to really do is then choose either move or copy. Now
3:03
keep in mind if you press move it will remove it from the SD card as for me
3:07
where it is. And then it will be moved to the designated location of my choice. So
3:12
for instance the internal storage. Now you might be doing this the opposite way
3:16
so it will be removed from the phone and move to the SD card. Or you can actually
3:20
choose the copy option which will make an additional copy of the same files in
3:24
a other location of your choice. But for this purpose I'm just gonna choose move
3:29
So once you select move you can see one item and then you have the cancel or
3:34
move here. So what you want to do is navigate where you want to move it. So I'm gonna go back to the choice where I have the SD card and internal storage
3:43
I'm gonna go to the internal storage and go to the DCIM and I'm gonna move it
3:47
here. And you can see that it's been moved to the internal storage. It's right
3:53
on the top. And if I go back to the SD card you'll see that under DCIM there is
4:00
no no other files anymore. So that is how you remove it. And like I said you can do
4:06
that with basically any file. It doesn't need to be photos or folders. It can be
4:10
any music, media, documents. It doesn't matter. The process is always the same
4:14
And yeah that is how you remove it. So if you found this video helpful don't forget
