Welcome, I'm from the museum Motorola Moto G8 Plus and today I'll show you how to
0:09
transfer files from the SD card to the phone or vice versa. So number one I want
0:15
to open up the files app which will be right here. Tap on that, continue and from
0:24
here at the bottom you'll find the two storages. Disregard this. There we go. So you
0:31
can see the two storages right here. So you have the internal and the SD card
0:34
Now if you don't see your storages you want to tap on the three dots right here
0:39
and where I have hide storage, just tap on it like so. So you can see that there
0:45
is no storage at the bottom anymore and you want to tap right on the three dots and then show storage devices and then they will appear. So from here I'm
0:54
actually gonna quickly capture a couple photos. I have something to transfer as
0:59
an example. I want to take a photo. It's good photo, there we go. Okay so now I have a couple photos and let's go back
1:17
to the files app. So photos and videos that have captured with the device will
1:23
be always located under the DCIM folder. So it could be here, there it is. So it
1:29
looks like the device saves it straight to the phone even though the SD card is inserted. So you can see that those are the screenshots or photos that I have
1:37
captured right now and photos and videos like I said will be under DCIM folder
1:43
Downloads will contain anything that have downloaded using browser or your emails. Movies and music will have well anything that you have actually placed
1:51
there it doesn't get placed there automatically. Pictures has screenshots by default as you can see and that's about it. So to move the files that you
2:05
wish to move you want to select them. So to select just hold one file and it
2:09
becomes selected like this with the blue mark and you can tap on additional ones
2:13
just to add them on. So that is how you would individually select them. Now you
2:18
can also select for instance entire folder itself so that's where the four
2:22
photos are. So I can select the entire folder along with all of its content and
2:26
once it's selected with the blue mark I can tap on that three dots right here
2:30
and I have two options either move or copy. So move will completely remove it
2:36
from where it is right now and move it to a new location while copy will just create an additional set of the same files. So I'm gonna choose move then you
2:44
have a drop on the bottom and you have two places where you can move it so you have internal and SD card. Now the photos right now on the internal storage so I'm
2:52
gonna move them to the SD card and once you tap on it you'll see the two
2:57
folders that are only here. Now just to keep it organized I'm gonna add a new
3:02
folder by tapping on here allow and I'm gonna name it DCIM as well just to
3:08
keep it organized as long as it allows me and there we go. So right now we're on
3:17
the internal storage and that's previously where the photos were. So if
3:21
we go to the SD card now at the DCIM folder that I have created and there are
3:26
the four photos that I have moved. And the same process goes for any kind of
3:31
other file so yeah. And if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like
