Welcome, I'm Flamingos' Cyrus CS40 and today I will show you how to transfer files from
0:12
your device to an SD card and vice versa. So to get started let's open up File Manager and this is where I am
0:23
So you should see this bit right here. As you can see we have both storages, we have the SD and internal
0:30
Now number one we need to find where our files are located at
0:35
So I will go into the internal, that's where usually they get saved
0:40
And before you start looking for them, mindlessly without actually knowing where they are, I'm
0:44
going to give you a brief overview. So DCIM folder will contain your camera and that's where my photos are
0:55
It contains basically all the photos, videos that you captured with the phone itself
1:02
Then you have the Downloads folder which will contain anything that we have downloaded
1:06
That would be either through your email or web browser, whatever it was, wherever we
1:12
have downloaded it, it will be in here. Then you have folders like Movies, Music, Notifications, Podcasts and Ringtones
1:23
Most of the time it will contain files that you have placed there yourself
1:27
I don't really recall any app saving into them. And also you have one last folder left, Pictures, which usually contains screenshots
1:40
And that's about it. So from here you want to look for your files that you wish to transfer
1:46
For me, it's going to be the four photos that I have captured just for this purpose
1:52
You can see, there it is. It's basically all the same. So start off by selecting them
2:04
You select them by simply holding one file and then you can tap on additional ones to
2:08
select them additionally. So this is one way. I can also tap, I believe, somewhere to select all of them
2:19
There we go. Select all. And this will select every file in this location
2:26
Or you can also go back and just select the entire folder along with all of its content
2:34
Now once you have selected either the folder, files, whatever it is, you will have two options
2:39
Cut or Copy. Now each one of them works a little bit differently
2:45
If you choose to Cut, the files will be completely removed from where they are right now and
2:49
moved to a new location. While Copy will just create duplicates and move them to the location of your choice
2:55
So choose whichever one works for you. I'm going to go with Cut
2:59
As you can see, the folder becomes a little bit transparent, almost like
3:04
So that means that it has been cut. And now you want to go back to the location that you wish to move it
3:09
So the file originated from the internal storage. So I'll just go to SD card
3:14
As you can see, there are only two folders in here at the moment
3:18
And once you are in a location that you wish to move your files to, you will have this
3:22
clipboard icon that's pasted. Tap on it. And there we go. As you can see, now there is a third folder
3:30
And in there, there are the pictures that I have moved. And if we go back to the internal storage, DCIM, you can see that the camera folder is
3:42
completely gone from here. That's because I chose Cut option. So that is how you would copy, move files from one place to another
3:51
