Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A and today I'll show you how to transfer

files from the internal storage to an SD card and vice versa

I'm gonna quickly capture a couple photos just so I have something to move

There we go, good enough, three should work. So to start off you want to go into the Samsung folder where you will find My Files and from

here as you can see we have two different storages right here, so we have the internal

storage which is the memory of the tablet itself and then the SD card

I'm gonna start off with the internal storage to see if my files are in here or on the other

card which I believe it looks like, yep, they're right on the SD card

So let me quickly close it and quickly go over the several different files that we have

right here, or folders I mean. So as you can see we have a bunch of folders here but honestly there's only a couple of

them that are important that will most likely contain stuff that you're looking for

So number one would be the DCIM and probably the most important one which contains pictures

and videos captured with the device. Then we have the download folder below that which contains everything that I have downloaded

on this device using this device. And then below that somewhere lower we should have pictures, there we go, which normally

contains screenshots. Now as the internal storage, SD card basically has the same folders right here as you can

see. Now I'm gonna find my files once more. So once you find your files what you want to do is select them and you do so by simply

holding them. As you can see after you hold it for about a second or so it has this checkmark and circles

next to the rest of them which allows you to quickly tap on additional ones or simply

select the all right here. So once you've selected files that you want to either copy or move, tap on the, actually

not the three dots, it looks like I'll have at the bottom these the copy and move option

So select which one you want to use, copy or move. I'm gonna go with the move option and from here I'm gonna navigate to, as an example

the internal storage instead because we're right now on the SD card

So I could keep it organized and go into the DCIM folder and drop it into here somewhere

I'm just gonna drop it right here. So once you're in the folder that you want to move it to, simply select move here and

there we go as you can see the files just appeared here and we're right now on the internal storage

Now if we go back to the SD card DCIM camera, you'll find that this folder is now empty

because I chose to move those files. So just pay attention to which one you choose
