Welcome, everyone on this is Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and today I'll show you how to
0:12
transfer files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa
0:17
So to get started you want to open up the file manager app right here
0:24
Just tap on allow. Tap on cancel, I don't really want to update
0:30
So from here we want to navigate into our card which will be right here, or storages
0:38
I mean. So once you tap on it you will see either the storage or the SD card right here so you
0:43
can choose either one of them. Now if you're planning to transfer photos, videos that you have captured with the device
0:50
they will be always located under the DCIM folder right here. Screenshots that I have captured with the device will be under pictures which at the
0:59
moment it's empty. And then downloads will have anything that I have downloaded on this device
1:07
So let's just go right here. Actually I was wrong, it looks like screenshots are also being saved into the DCIM folder
1:14
because there is a folder called screenshots. So let's go to camera and you can see I prepared a couple of photos as a way to have something
1:24
to transfer. So I will basically move those. So once you find the content that you wish to move, all you need to do is just select
1:34
it by tapping on those circles right there to check them on
1:37
Now once you checked one on you can actually tap right here in the corner and just select
1:42
all of them at once. And that is one way. Or you can also select the entire folder as you can see one right here so you can hold
1:54
it and it becomes selected like so. And then you can either move or copy
2:02
So you have copy right here and move right here option. So choose whichever one you want
2:08
Move will completely remove the files that are right now in this location and move it
2:12
to a new one. While copy will just create an additional set of the same files in a new location
2:18
So I'm going to select move. And then it opens this up so now if you're basically wanting to get the files off of
2:29
the device you probably want to move it to the SD card in this case
2:34
At least that's what I'm going to do. And there right now the internal storage which is the phone
2:39
So I'm going to move it to the SD right here. And I already have a DCIM folder here that would appear but it's empty
2:48
So I can move it to here as an example. So wherever you have opened the folder that you wish to move it to tap on paste right
2:56
here and there we go. That's all the images that were in the folder and the folder itself being moved into this
3:05
DCIM folder on the SD card. And if I were to go back to the internal storage which I am at right now as you can see right
3:15
here it says right over there. If I go to DCIM here you can see that there is only screenshots folder left and the camera
3:25
is gone. So that is how you would move any kind of file and if you found this video helpful don't
