Welcome, I'm Filomena Zan, Emporia Smart 3 Mini and today I'll show you how to enable
0:11
and set up the portable hotspot. To get started, let's find the toggle somewhere in our notification panel for the hotspot
0:23
Now if you don't see it, there is a possibility that it's not here
0:26
You can tap on this pencil icon and we should have it somewhere here, which I can already
0:31
see right here, hotspot. So what you want to do is just kind of drag it over
0:35
Now you do need to first hold it to kind of be able to drag it. So there we go
0:41
You will feel a vibration at which point you can drag it over
0:45
So now let's go back and we should have it somewhere in here, which there it is, hotspot
0:51
So once you find it, you can number one, hold it in the icon, and this will take you to
0:56
the settings where you can quickly change a couple important settings. So number one, things like the hotspot password, once you tap on it, it will show you the current
1:06
one, where it, as you can see, is just some absolute trash of a password
1:11
So we can remove this one and set our own. Now I will make a fairly simple one
1:17
It does need to have eight characters in length, at which point you can save it
1:22
Then we also have security. Here I would advise you to keep it as it is
1:27
None will basically make it accessible to anybody. Hotspot name, so there is the S3 Mini, which you can change it if you want to or keep it
1:40
as it is. If you plan to keep it as it is, just try to remember the hotspot name because that's
1:45
going to be the name of your Wi-Fi. And if you tap on advanced, we also should have the option, as you can see, to turn off automatically
1:53
So that means that if you're not using your hotspot for probably like five minutes or
1:57
so, it will automatically turn it off, which, in my opinion, is a nice feature, and I would
2:02
recommend you to keep it. But at the end, that's your decision
2:06
And then below that, we also have the maximum connections. So this will determine how many people can connect to your hotspot at once
2:14
Personally, six might be a little bit overkill. I'll probably set it to one or two, so only one or two people can connect to it
2:22
And that's it about. So once you have selected all the settings here, set them up as you want, you can simply
2:28
tap on it right here to turn it on, and this will automatically turn on your hotspot
2:32
But you can also do it quickly from your notifications, as you can see right here
2:37
Now, this is enabled right now, so if I tap it on again, it's just going to turn off
2:43
Now also when it's enabled, it does show you a notification right here that Tethering
2:49
or Hotspot is active, and how many people are connected, and how many people you are blocking, because you can block people from accessing it if you don't want someone
2:58
So that being said, that is how you could set it up, enable, and use the hotspot
3:03
