Infoomomese a Poco X3 Pro and today I'll show you how to go through the setup process of the device
0:15
So when you boot it up for the first time you presented with, well, this screen right over here
0:20
So get started by tapping on the error right here and selecting your desired language
0:25
So I'm going to stick with English right here. Again let's press on the next page
0:29
choose your region. Normally, I believe this is using location so it should select
0:36
correct region unless you want to select a different one. Then you just find it in the
0:41
list and just click on it same way as with the language. Next page we have the choose
0:48
keyboard so we have the Gboard, just a typical one and talkback and Braille keyboard
0:53
So I never used this before so I believe it's just going to be a button for talkback so it
0:59
recognize its speech but I'm completely guessing here. I'm going to stick with Gboard anyway
1:05
Then next page we have terms and conditions. Obviously we do have to agree to them by checking this box right over here
1:11
And if you are interested in reading up on what you're actually agreeing to
1:15
you can tap on this each one of them and read exactly what the terms of service are or POCO launch user agreement or whatever else is here privacy policy and so on
1:29
Now, like I said, you do have to check this on at the end of the day, so make sure you do, and then let's go further
1:36
And here's going to start scanning for a SIM card. I don't have any SIM card inserted into the device
1:41
so it didn't find anything, but honestly this step is kind of useless
1:45
Once you insert a SIM card, it will start working without any kind of problem, so you don't have to do it right now
1:50
You can do it later on, and there is no additional steps required
1:55
So let's stop on next. Connect to network. So here you can connect to Wi-Fi
2:00
If you have one near you that you can connect to. If you don't, don't worry, you can skip it and do that later on simply through settings
2:06
So, yeah. Now, by skipping Wi-Fi connection, you will also miss out the ability to log into Google account throughout the setup
2:15
But once you do that later on after this setup is complete, connect to Wi-Fi
2:19
you can also do settings, log into your Google account if you want to. So I'm just going to top on next
2:26
Now here, actually, we do have a couple different things. We have used location, scanning, and send user in agnostic data
2:34
So you can read exactly what these do by tapping on the text right here
2:38
the arrow drop it down and have a more comprehensive overview of it And if you don want it you can disable it like so And from there scroll down and top on accept
2:53
Now next page allows us to add protection to our device. So we have two different ways of protecting our device
2:59
One is through a fingerprint and the other one is to either pin, pattern or password
3:04
Now if you want to add a fingerprint, you will still be required to choose pin pattern or password
3:09
of those three. So for this I'm just going to set up a pattern without a fingerprint
3:17
That's what I'm going to tap on and let's give it a couple of seconds for this one-of-a-kind pop-up
3:24
and that's telling us remember your password like it's not already given that we do need to
3:31
remember it. Anyway, once that time passes you can tap on next and then actually put in your
3:38
password. So I'm using a pattern. So I draw it and redraw the same pattern once more and that
3:44
will set it. Now here we have additional settings on the next page and some of them do repeat
3:52
like location which I already disabled, send diagnostic data automatically, automatic system
3:58
updates personalize that and user experience programs Honestly I not a fan of basically any of these but probably the worst part right here is the personalized ads I personally despise this It gathers data on what you search for and then
4:16
gives you ads based on what you search on your device. And just putting it into perspective how
4:25
intrusive that is. Also, if you try to disable any of these, right, it just disabled
4:31
no problem right you can see it there's can flip it on off it doesn't give anything you try to
4:37
disable this are you sure you want to do that because we want to gather data on you so yes turn off
4:45
and also another thing uh it's like anything else turn off and it's kind of grayed out so you
4:52
think that you want to turn it on so whatever uh but yeah i despise this i'm just going to turn it off
4:59
and then we can go further, which looks like we'll actually complete the setup
5:04
So, give it a second, it will load apps, and we should be in the home screen
5:11
And there we go. So, if you found this video helpful, don't forget to head like
5:16
subscribe, and thanks for watching
