Welcome, in front of me is a Samsung Galaxy A52 and today I'll show you how to hard reset
0:12
the device through recovery mode. Now for this process we will need a computer and a cable, although we don't really need
0:19
to do anything on the computer side, we just need to plug it into it
0:22
So I already got the cable, so I'm just gonna plop it in here, bam, so as you can see it's
0:28
charging, it would be if it wouldn't be at 100%. So from here we can boot into recovery mode
0:37
Now also I'm gonna do, oops, not turn on the light, I'm gonna go into the settings and
0:42
set up a screen lock just so you can see that I am able to remove a screen lock, basically
0:48
resetting the device and removing the screen lock if I don't know it
0:52
So I quickly go into lock screen, let's go with the pattern, draw the pattern, redraw
1:00
it and voila, we have now a pattern that has been, yep, set, there we go
1:06
As you can see it's already plugged in. So what you wanna do now is hold power key and volume down, make sure that the screen
1:15
is turned on, actually before I continue, as you can see there it is, there's the pattern
1:22
so power key, volume down and you're gonna keep holding it till the screen turns off
1:32
And actually it didn't turn off because I can still see this
1:37
Now also, I don't know if you can hear the computer going crazy, so once the screen turns
1:46
off you want to switch to holding volume up, there we go
1:56
So as you've seen I basically held power key and volume down till the screen turns off
2:00
and from there I switched to volume up instead. And this will then boot us into recovery mode, completely bypassing the need to actually
2:08
put in the pattern, PIN, password to shut off the device. Now from here we also don't need the cable anymore, so unplug it and using volume keys
2:17
on your phone you wanna scroll down in order to select Wave Data Factory Reset and then
2:22
confirm it with power key. Again, let's select Factory Data Reset, same way, it will basically format all the data
2:29
as you can see, data web complete and at this point reboot system now should be selected
2:34
by default, so all you need to do is press power key once more to reboot that device
2:39
Now I will mention that now that it's rebooting it's not gonna be a normal reboot, it is actually
2:44
continuing the reset of the device in the background, so it's gonna take it a little bit longer for the device to actually boot back up, but once it has you will then be
2:52
greeted with the Android setup screen. So that being said, I'll be back once the actual reset has been finished
3:03
And as you can see now the process is finished and you can set up your device as however you like
3:07
