Welcome. In front of me is a Nokia 7 Plus and today I will show you how to perform a
0:13
hard reset of the device in order to get rid of the lag screen. I assume you can't get
0:20
into the settings because you don't know the pattern or whatever it's set to. So let's
0:25
start off by actually powering on the phone. On the power key and then select power off
0:31
Now once that is happening, make sure you have a cable ready that you use to plug in
0:35
your device to charge and plug that the other end to the computer. Mine is already plugged
0:40
into this computer right here. So that is ready. You can plug it to the device. Let's
0:59
wait for the charging indication. Should be right now. So once you see this, the battery
1:07
is charging. You can start holding power key and volume up both together. And then you
1:28
will see the Android with no commands. So what you want to do is hold power key and
1:32
while holding power key just tap volume up once. So like so. Just gonna unplug it. I don't really
1:41
need it. And from here we will use volume keys to navigate the recovery mode. So volume down
1:49
to go down and volume up to go up. And with that in mind, select wipe data factory reset
1:55
right here and confirm the selection with the power key. And once more select yes and power
2:02
key to confirm it. And you get on the bottom message wiping data. Then data wipe complete
2:08
and you are back in the main page of the recovery mode with reboot system now selected by default
2:14
So all you need to do now is just press power key once more and the phone will reboot and
2:20
keep basically performing the hard reset in the background. So just be patient. It will
2:25
take a little bit longer to turn on than it normally does. And I will be back once the
2:29
Android setup screen is visible. And as you can see now the process is finished and you can setup your device. So I'm just
2:59
gonna go through the process fairly quickly just to show you that the device is fully unlocked
3:30
As you can see now we are in the home screen and if I lock the device there is no lock screen anymore
3:48
So as you can see the lock screen is gone and the device is fully reset. So if you found
