Welcome. In front of me is a Google Pixel Fold, and today I will show you how you can boot this device into safe mode

So to get started, let's hold our power button. Looks like we need to hold either power button volume up or down. We'll see

So it's power button and volume up. This will give us our boot options, and here you want to hold power off

When you hold it, it will change into reboot to safe mode. Now quickly going into the message, it states, do you want to reboot into safe mode

This will disable all third-party applications that you have installed. They will be restored when you reboot again

Confirm by selecting OK. And just to kind of go into this message a little bit more, just so you are aware

what it states is basically any application that you have installed yourself will be now temporarily turned off

so you can troubleshoot your device. Now if you install some kind of application that is causing you some serious problems with the device

you can boot this device into safe mode, and that application that is causing you problems will not be able to run in this mode

So from here you could, for instance, remove it. Now any application that we have installed right here that will not run becomes monochrome, as you can see

and when you try to open it up, it gives you the pop-up that downloaded apps are disabled in safe mode

Also widgets don't work, as you can obviously see. So there we go

Once you're done with this mode and you want to go back to the normal one, find your boot options again

and select restart. When the device boots back up again, it will automatically go back to normal mode
