Here I have HTC U11 and let me show you how to activate developer options on the following device

So at the very beginning let me unlock the screen. Let's tap apps icon, then let's find and select settings

Let's scroll down to the bottom of the list and choose about phone

Then let's select software information. Choose more. And here you should find build number

Let's tap a couple of times on this number. And as you can see you are now a developer

You can go back and right here under printing you've got developer options

Let's open them. Tap ok to allow development features. And here you've got the full list of developer options that you can use on this device

Let's just say that you would like to enable USB debugging so you have to go to debugging

section right here and use this selector. Read the warning on the screen and tap allow USB debugging

That's it. You just enabled USB debugging, everything went well. You can go back and use your device
