How to Enable Portable Hotspot on LG Q6 – Set Up Portable Hotspot

In front of me is an LG Q6 and today I'll show you how to enable and set up the portable hotspot

To get started, let's pull down our notification panel and look for the hotspot toggle, which

for me is right over here. And once you find it, you can hold the toggle

This will quickly take you to the settings where you can then choose Set up Wi-Fi hotspot

and customize a couple of different things of it. So number one we have the Wi-Fi name

You can change it if you want to keep it as it is if you don't really care, as long as

you can remember what the name of it is. Now by default it will always have something with the model of the device in it

So as you can see in here it's Q6 and then some I guess serial number or part of it

And if we scroll down, we'll have security. To keep it as it is. And the other option is just to turn it off, which I wouldn't recommend because that way

anybody can connect to your network without any kind of password. Now below that we have the password and you can select Show Password, which will reveal

the randomly generated password. So if you don't like it, you can simply select it, remove it and choose your own password

Now it does need to have eight characters in length, at which point you will be able to save it

And from here we also have advanced options right at the bottom, which gives us some broadcast

channel auto-select. Not really sure what that is. Seems like how many people can connect, but I'm just kind of guessing at it

So anyway, once you have chosen all the settings, click Save to basically save the settings

and you can either turn it on from here or through the notification panel

Like so. Or not, because I don't have the SIM card, so I can't really do that right now

As you can see, normally when you tap on it, it won't pop up anything, it will just turn

on and you can immediately connect to it from there. And once you're done with it, do remember to turn it off, because otherwise Hotspot

will use more of your battery and if you're not using it, then you're just kind of losing

the battery for no reason. So to turn it off, you just tap on it again to gray it out like it is right now
