My name is Huawei P40 Lite 5G and today I'll show you how to enable and set up the portable hotspot

By default, you should have a toggle in the notification panel, but I already checked

and I couldn't find it. Actually, never mind, I did find it right now

It's right here, personal hotspot. For some reason it's grayed out. So we can hold that toggle and it will take us to the settings of it

We can also get access to this section by simply going to the settings, then mobile

network and personal hotspot and we're basically at the same place. From here you have a couple of things that you can do

Number one is device name. You can change that and this is just basically the name of the hotspot itself

So once you enable it, you will be looking for, in this case, Huawei P40 Lite 5G as the

name of the WiFi. And then below that we have a password, so you can tap on it

By default it's just some randomly generated password, so I would recommend you to completely

remove this one and set your own. Now it needs to have at least eight characters in length

I chose just one through eight as the numbers, but it can be anything that you want

And from there tap on OK and that's the password. We also have the connected devices, so it will show you anybody who's connected

And also a blacklist, so you can literally block people from being able to connect to

your network if you choose to. And under more we also have data limits, so you can limit how much data can be used by hotspot

And AP band, for some reason I cannot change it, so I guess the phone only has a 2.4 GHz

WiFi band, which is kind of weird. And mobile hotspot turns off timer

This will basically allow you to not care about the hotspot after you enable it

When it becomes dormant, no one is using it for five minutes, it will automatically turn

off on its own. Now we have also a 10 minute timer or never, which will be continuously on until you turn

it off yourself. So once you set it all up, you can enable it either from here or by simply tapping on

the toggle right over here, which for me is greyed out. I'm not really sure why

Because the airplane mode was on. So now you can either tap it right here and it becomes enabled and also gives you information
