Welcome, everyone, this is Nokia 2.4 and today I'll show you how to enable the portable hotspot
0:12
Now to get started, let's pull down the notification panel and find the hotspot toggle, which for
0:18
me actually isn't visible here, so I'm gonna tap on the pencil
0:22
And there we go, there is the hotspot, so let's add it to the list by holding it and
0:26
then dragging it over. And there we go, now it's on the list
0:31
So once you have your hotspot, you wanna hold the toggle, this will take us to the settings. Now this is just a one-time thing where we can go into the settings and from there customize
0:38
how it works. So let's choose the hotspot password as an example and remove this one because it's just
0:44
some randomly generated password. From there we can set our own. It does need to have eight characters in length, at which point you will be able to save it
0:53
Then you also have the hotspot name, which will be just the name of the Wi-Fi and the
0:57
list so you can change it or keep it as it is right now, it really doesn't matter
1:02
Then if we tap on advanced, we will have also turn off hotspot automatically toggle, so
1:07
I would suggest you to keep this on. What it will do is after a couple minutes of inactivity where no one is connected to
1:14
your hotspot, it will simply turn it off. And the reason why I advise you to keep this on is because hotspot will use your Wi-Fi
1:22
connection instead of like anything else. So if you're normally using your Wi-Fi at home and you have hotspot, it will turn off
1:30
your Wi-Fi and then use that basically the Wi-Fi signal to broadcast your hotspot and
1:35
that will use a little bit more battery than normal. So just that's why I suggest you to leave this on because otherwise you would kind of
1:42
forget about it probably and it would constantly use more battery. But in this case, once you're done with it and you forget about it, it will turn off automatically
1:51
Okay, so once that all is set up, all you need to do now is simply tap on the toggle
1:56
from here and it will turn it on. So now that it's in blue, it's basically turned on and people can connect to your hotspot
2:03
assuming they know the correct password. And once you're done with it, you can either just leave it for it to turn off or do it
2:10
yourself by tapping on the toggle once more. So that is basically how you would set it up and use it
