Welcome! In front of me I have Huawei Band 8 and I'm gonna show you how to enable the phone
0:05
notifications for this smartband on the iPhone. Basically if you want to receive the notifications
0:11
from your iPhone on your smartband. Before we start, if you want to receive the notifications from your iPhone on your smartband
0:22
your band needs to be paired with your iPhone via the Huawei Health application
0:26
And once the devices are paired together we can continue. Now we need to make sure that the required permissions are allowed for the Huawei Health
0:34
application to send the notifications to our smartband. So let's open the settings on our
0:40
iPhone. In settings tap on Bluetooth option and here you should see the list of my devices
0:47
And on this list you should see your Huawei Band 8. If you see it tap on the info icon next to it
0:53
and here you should see the option called share system notifications. And this option needs to be enabled so make sure it is
0:59
If you don't see this option close the settings for now. Open the Huawei Health application
1:08
In the app tap on devices. Select your Huawei Band 8 from the list of devices
1:14
And here scroll down find the notifications option. And then turn it off and turn it on. And once you turn it on wait for a couple of seconds
1:28
and see if you get any pop-ups about the permissions. If you do allow all required
1:34
permissions and then close the app for now. Go back to settings. Back to Bluetooth
1:44
Find the Huawei Band 8 on the list. Tap on the info icon and this option should be right here
1:50
if you allow all of the permissions. So make sure it's enabled. Go back to main page of settings
1:56
Then scroll down. Find the Huawei Health application on the list. Once you find it tap on it
2:04
And here make sure that the Bluetooth option is enabled. Once it is you can close this. And open the Huawei Health application
2:13
In the app tap on devices. Select your Huawei Band 8 again
2:19
Wait until it's done connecting to your iPhone. Once it's done tap on notifications
2:25
Enable them by tapping on the switch of course. And once you turn them on you will be able to
2:30
enable and disable notifications for messages, messenger, gmail and other. How it works is basically if you enable notifications for example for gmail
2:40
and you receive the notifications from gmail on your iPhone those notifications will be forwarded
2:45
to your smartband. If you disable notifications for gmail you will only see your notifications
2:51
on your iPhone because they won't be forwarded to your smartband. And if you want to receive
2:57
the notifications from the apps that are not on this list, you want to receive them on your
3:01
smartband you need to enable the other option. Because this option basically enables notifications
3:06
for other apps on your iPhone that are not on this list. So it will enable it for almost every app
3:16
on your iPhone. And once you enable this option or rather once you're done customizing your
3:24
notification settings you can close the app and at this point you should be able to receive the
3:29
notifications. So I'm gonna send myself a message on discord. Okay we didn't get the notifications so I'm gonna
3:41
quickly enable the do not disturb mode and then disable it and see if that fixes my problem
3:53
And it did. Now we have the notification on our iPhone as you can see. Let's check if we
3:59
got it on our smartband. And yes we did. To check the notifications on your smartband wake up the
4:04
screen then swipe up on the home screen to open the notification panel and here we have our
4:09
notifications. As you can see you can tap on them to read them. You can clear them by tapping on the
4:17
bin icon and that's about all. And that's how you enable the phone notifications for this smartband
4:25
on the iPhone. Thank you for watching. If you found this video
